Organic Rose water - Eau de Rose

Rose water is obtained by hydro-distillation of the fresh blossoms of Damascena and Centifolia roses. In this way the water is naturally infused with the aromas and fragrances of the flower. Depending on the blossoms used and the distillation process, the water has a stronger or milder scent. It is therefore difficult to give precise quantities in recipes.

In the Middle East, Rose water is a very popular flavouring that subtly seasons creams, ice cream and oriental recipes. You can also drizzle the water over pancakes or into the milk of cakes, puddings and panna cotta.

Our clear recommendation is to add the Rose water to the Tirggel dough. Since the very beginning of Tirggel production, Rose water has been a traditional ingredient. Just a few drops are enough to give the dough a delicate rosy note.

For a fresh lassi, take a stirred yoghurt, add a few drops of the flower water and a little sugar, then put it together with ice cubes into the Bowl of the blender. In the age of the caliphs, this natural rose blossom water was the symbol of the scents of the Orient, as delicate in fragrance as it is sweet in taste.

This organic rose blossom water is best stored in a sealed bottle, protected from light. As it is undiluted, just a few drops are enough to perfume your dishes.

Furthermore, Rose water is also used in cosmetic treatments. Rose water contains no alcohol, no preservatives, has antibacterial properties and moisturises the skin naturally.
