Measuring cups

A measuring cup makes sure liquids such as milk, cream or water go into the recipe exactly. Here you will find measuring cups in silicone and plastic in several sizes, plus measuring spoons and cup sets for small amounts.

Which measuring cups do we stock?

Silicone measuring cups come in 250 ml, 0.5 litre and 1 litre, plus a 1 litre measuring cup. For small amounts, the 4-piece measuring spoon set and the 4-piece measuring cup set are handy. You will also find a 1 l dispenser, a 4-piece plastic container set and containers of 250 and 500 ml.

Which size for which job?

• 250 ml: for cream, milk or oil in small recipes and fillings.
• 0.5 litre: the all-rounder for batters and sauces.
• 1 litre: for large recipes, syrups or glazes.
• Spoons and cups: for baking powder, spices and small amounts where accuracy counts.

Tips from our kitchen

Stand the cup on a level surface and read the amount at eye level. For water and milk, 1 dl is about 100 g; honey and syrups are heavier, cream slightly lighter. For the greatest accuracy, weigh on the kitchen scale, especially for cakes and mousse.

Frequently asked questions

Silicone or plastic?

Both work for measuring. Silicone is flexible and pours out easily, plastic keeps its shape. Choose whichever you prefer.
