Children's courses

Chocolate is popular with young and old. At Easter, children's eyes light up when they discover the Easter nest, on Samichlaust Day the Schöggeli disappear first from the Samichlaussäckli and the Guetzli and chocolates at Christmas don't stay put for long either.

Of course, too much chocolate is not healthy, but there is nothing wrong with a little chocolate, which is particularly good for it. If the children were able to help shape the treat, it is appreciated even more and tastes at least twice as good. A self-decorated and molded Easter bunny from the best Swiss couverture is thus guaranteed to be a highlight.

Welcome to miniSchoggi

At our courses we take care of big and small and make sure that eventually all participants can take home a beautiful end product. Since many of our courses, although intended for people who are not experts, are a bit more demanding and a lot of knowledge is imparted, most of them are recommended for ages 12 or 13 and up. Younger children often cannot yet duplicate everything that is shown and quickly become frustrated. On our courses recommended for children, on the other hand, all the steps can be followed by younger participants without any problems. Professional confectioners show all the steps exactly and of course help if something doesn't quite work out as desired. So working with chocolate is no problem even for the youngest participants. Thanks to the experience of many children's birthday parties, our course instructors know how to explain the work process to the children in the most understandable way and, if necessary, how to support them if something doesn't work. They can also answer the many questions that are always floating around in the children's heads well thanks to their professional training.

Children are often still a little shy or don't dare to ask for help. But in our chocolate courses, the children quickly blossom. In a relaxed atmosphere, the children can immerse themselves completely in brushing, pouring, filling and decorating and quickly forget any shyness. The smell of delicious chocolate and the anticipation of their own treats also help, of course.

Supervised by professionals and surrounded by chocolate, the children manage well on their own and thus do not need to be looked after by you. Their well-being is always taken care of and if they have any questions, requests or difficulties, the course management is quickly on hand.

Of course, you can also book two course places and accompany your child, niece, nephew, godchild or godchild to the course. Because the joint casting of Easter bunnies or the cozy filling and decorating of delicious chocolates is a great experience! The courses are therefore not only suitable as a gift, but also as a joint excursion.

Shared experiences connect more than anything else. An afternoon for two at miniSchoggi is thus the perfect gift for any child. Good company, lots of chocolate and being able to create something themselves - the best things combined in one outing.

Creative learning

Making chocolates and casting chocolate figures has to be learned, but our young participants pick up new information and processes particularly quickly and can implement them in no time at all. By handcrafting chocolate, the children can learn to work carefully and accurately. Nevertheless, it is possible for them to let off steam in the process.

Because there are no limits to creativity with us. With various envelopes and powder paints, your own Easter bunny or Santa Claus can be made up and painted just as you like. Whether quite simply with eyes, nose and mouth or also with additional small Müsterchen or a heart in the ear is decorated, is up to everyone.

The chocolates can also be decorated and refined to your heart's content after filling and sealing. A whole host of decorating ingredients are available for this purpose. With little sugar snowflakes, dried, colorful flower petals, sweet crispy pearls and fun chocolate tattoos, the chocolates become little works of art in no time!

With a visit to our chocolate workshop, you give your child the opportunity to be creative and create something all their own. This is fun not only for children who always help with baking and cooking, but also for newcomers to the kitchen. Maybe even a real passion for working with chocolate will develop?

Great gifts

Christmas is just around the corner and now the question arises: What can we make for grandma and grandpa this year? What will Gotti and Götti get?

These questions can be answered quite simply: pralines. Thin chocolate shells filled with a melt-in-the-mouth ganache and finished with various decorations. Homemade and incredibly delicious; chocolates are the perfect gift for relatives and friends!

Come to us and make delicious chocolates with your child or children. Beautifully packaged in small bags or boxes of chocolates, they are a great gift that everyone will be happy about. There has never been such a sweet surprise!

Does not fit the course date to make small treats for the birthday or Christmas? No problem. At our praline course you will receive a course brochure with all recipes and instructions. So you can easily make delicious chocolates again at home.

A sweet chocolate figurine is also a creative surprise. Here, even very young children can already be creative and create something very beautiful. The child can individually make up a chocolate shape for each person to be gifted. For Grandma there is then, for example, a bunny with pink flowers and Grandpa gets a sweet squirrel, because he likes the little animals so much. In our online store you will find the right mold for every gift, even tractor lovers and animal fans will get their money's worth.

The shapes are then quickly and easily packed in a small cellophane bag and with the matching bow the bag can be closed and a short message attached.

Schöggele at home

Making chocolates and chocolate figures at home naturally needs to be well planned and should not degenerate into a small kitchen battle. Here are some tips for relaxed making the treats at home with the help of children.

Prepare everything well - A simple tip, but if all the ingredients and utensils are already at hand, making sweet gifts is already much easier than if something has to be dug out or searched for again and again.

Estimate how long your child can concentrate - if you plan too much, the undertaking can become very exhausting, especially towards the end, and at the latest when it comes to cleaning up, you will be alone in the kitchen. Maybe you'd rather make the treats on two different days and take a little more time for it, but the endeavor is so much more fun and can be really enjoyed.

Pre-polish the chocolate molds - If you would like to cast Easter bunnies, Santa Clauses or other chocolate figures, you can already anticipate a lot of work by polishing the molds. This way, you can concentrate fully on the make-up and casting with the children.

Make sure you have space in the refrigerator - chocolate figurines and chocolates always need to be cooled. This is especially important when the room temperature is very high, but the refrigerator is also indispensable in winter. So clear a little early, so you prevent that you stand with the children with chocolate-smeared hands in front of the much too full refrigerator and do not know where to put the sweet treats.

Cover the children's workstation with a disposable tablecloth or some baking paper - especially if the children are still a little younger, some chocolate may spill from time to time. All you have to do at the end is remove the paper and the workplace is clean - no more tedious scrubbing and scraping off chocolate drops.

Wrap the tempering unit, if available, in cling film - this tip is particularly practical for making chocolate figures, because the tempering unit can quickly be spilled with chocolate when pouring out the molds. The container for the couverture can then simply be put in the dishwasher, only the cling film needs to be removed from the tempering unit and it will look as good as new.

Our courses for children

Santa Claus and Easter Bunny casting courses from 7 years old If you want to make a very special Easter or a great surprise in the run-up to Christmas, a chocolate figure casting course is just the thing. As a family or with the godfather/goddess child, the pouring is especially fun. We will show you how to properly polish the mold you have chosen and then paint it. This is what painting the mold is called. Here, the outermost layer of the chocolate figure is applied first, then you work your way inward until the mold is finally completely brushed with couverture. Then the mold is assembled and filled with the best Swiss couverture. Over the pot of chocolate, the figure is poured out again, giving it a nice thin chocolate wall. Now the figure is cooled and then a chocolate base is added. After another cooling process, the chocolate figurine can also be packed nicely.

While the figurine you have chosen from a large selection of molds is solidifying, you may refine seven delicious Easter eggs or Truffes hollow spheres with fresh praline fillings, seal them with couverture and decorate them prettily with coconut flakes, edible paper sprinkles and other decorations. These are also packaged at the end of the course and can thus be taken home together with the very personal chocolate figure.
