High Heels Course

‘Give a girl the right shoes and she’ll conquer the world!’ – Marilyn Monroe

Do you love shoes more than anything, especially high heels? Then this is the perfect course for you – or for your best friend! In this course, you can design your dream shoes and conquer the world with them. We’ll show you how it’s done. In this high-heel course, you’ll get to mould your own chocolate shoe and also make a chocolate bar with your choice of ingredients. Our trained chocolatiers will show you how it’s done. No prior experience is required for this course. First, we’ll polish the shoe mould with kitchen paper so that our high heel ends up with a beautiful shine. After polishing, each person will pour their own chocolate shoe. You can choose from the finest Swiss couverture chocolates in white, dark or milk varieties. Please note that we do not cover the process of tempering couverture in this course. If you’d like to learn how to temper couverture correctly, we recommend our Couverture Tempering Course.

Now comes the creative part of the high-heel course – the decorating. To start with, each participant is given a practice sheet. You can now start your first attempts on this sheet. True to the saying ‘practice makes perfect’. Once you’ve found a suitable design for your chocolate high heel, you can apply it straight away to your own chocolate shoe and decorate the high heel with intricate details. Finally, the shoe is brushed with edible food colouring. To give the chocolate high heel a real wow factor, you can decorate the shoe however you like using a special sugar paste for lace decorations, known as ‘cake lace’. This opens up a whole range of possibilities for decorating the shoe. For example, stick a bow onto the toe of the shoe or embellish the sole with a matching border. Last but not least, we add the finishing touches to the chocolate shoe with a pretty border made from sugar pearls or chocolate. And if, at the end of the course, you feel the shoe is incomplete, then it’s surely missing a bit of glitter! Finally, the chocolate shoe is stuck onto the homemade chocolate bar, wrapped up and decorated with a lovely bow. The chocolate shoe will keep for up to 6 months at room temperature.
