With our Halloween cookie cutters, a simple shortcrust dough turns into bats, ghosts, wizard hats and grinning pumpkins. In this category you will find more than 40 cutters, sets and silicone embossers for spooky Halloween biscuits. Everything is in stock at our warehouse in Adliswil: order by 4 pm and your parcel leaves the same day by A-Post.

Which Halloween cookie cutters do we stock?

From single shapes to large sets for a whole tray of characters:

  • Single shapes: bat, ghost, skull, wizard hat, little devil, haunted castle, a cat with an arched back and the Halloween pumpkin. For the pumpkin face you can choose between a “funny” and a “scary” version. From Wilton there is the ghost (10 x 10 cm) and the bat (10 x 10.5 cm) in a nice, clearly visible size.
  • Plunger cutters: the skull and the bat have a built-in plunger that pushes the dough cleanly out of the cutter. Handy for narrow wings and fine points.
  • Sets: witches (3 pieces), Hexhex (4 pieces), spooky house (5 pieces), ghost house with 7 shapes, monsters (3 pieces), skulls (3 pieces), vampire and ghost house (2 pieces), the 6-piece Halloween set, the Halloween cookie cutter kit, the 16-piece wizard set, the 18-piece Wilton Halloween set and the “Mix and Match Halloween” set.
  • 3D cutters: coffin and pumpkin (Ø 10 cm) for biscuits that do more than lie flat on the plate.

Silicone embossers and sets with stencils

Want a pattern rather than just an outline? Then reach for an embosser. The ghost, skull, bat, spider web and Halloween silicone embossers press a relief into the dough that stays clearly visible after baking. In the skull and pumpkin and the monster embosser and cutter sets, both pieces work together: emboss first, then cut out – and your character already has its face.

Several sets also include a stencil, for example pumpkin and skull, zombie and skeleton, or the 4-piece Halloween cutter and stencil set. Dust icing sugar or cocoa over the cooled biscuit and a pumpkin grins back at you. You will find more designs for dusting among our Halloween stencils.

Tips from our kitchen

  • Chill the dough well. Leave shortcrust in the fridge for at least an hour, ideally overnight. Cold dough cuts cleanly and keeps sharp edges in the oven. Put the cut-out biscuits back in the fridge on the tray for 10 minutes before baking.
  • Roll between baking paper. You hardly need any extra flour and the thickness stays even. This matters most with the 3D cutters, so the pieces fit together properly.
  • Flour the cutter. Dip the cutter briefly in flour before each cut and tap off the excess. That way nothing sticks, not even bat wings or the tip of the wizard hat.
  • Press the embosser correctly. Roll the dough to about 4 to 5 mm, flour the embosser lightly and press it down evenly with the flat of your hand – do not rock it. Dough that is too thin tears; dough that is too soft blurs the pattern.
  • Bake similar sizes together. Small ghosts are done sooner than a large pumpkin. Put shapes of a similar size on the same tray and keep an eye on the edges in the last few minutes: they should stay pale.

Frequently asked questions

Which dough works best for Halloween biscuits?

A butter shortcrust or sablé dough with little or no raising agent. It barely rises and keeps its shape. Our butter biscuits with chocolate make a reliable base, and the vanilla sablé biscuits can just as well be cut into pumpkins or bats instead of flowers.

Does the pattern from the silicone embossers survive baking?

Yes, as long as the dough is cold and contains hardly any baking powder. Emboss just before baking and chill the biscuits again briefly. That way even the spider web keeps its fine lines.

Can I use the cutters for fondant or marzipan too?

Yes. Roll out fondant or marzipan thinly and cut shapes for cakes and cupcakes. Matching cases are in our Halloween baking moulds & cupcake cases.
