With our egg moulds, from a small chocolate egg mould for the Easter nest to a large egg measuring 25 × 34 cm, you can make your own chocolate Easter eggs. The moulds are sorted from small to large, so you quickly find the right size.

Which mould for what?

  • Small eggs for the Easter nest: the mini eggs mould (24 cavities) and egg XS (32 cavities), the thermoformed mini Easter eggs mould (6 cavities) and the silicone moulds small egg, large egg and Easter eggs (12 each) or egg (9).
  • The size series: egg XS, S (10 cavities), M (4 cavities), L and XL (2 each) and XXL, for matching eggs in several sizes.
  • Large hollow eggs to fill and give: the two-part thermoformed moulds for small, medium and large Easter eggs, plus large formats from 13.5 × 20.5 cm to 25 × 34 cm.
  • Open egg: small or large, it becomes a chocolate bowl for mini eggs or chocolates.
  • Patterned eggs: Diamant, Splash and Gefleckt (speckled), bunny in an egg and the bird’s egg (14 cavities). The 3D egg praline mould makes 28 pralines.
  • Natural eggs and surprise eggs: hen’s egg (10 cavities), goose egg and ostrich egg look just like the real thing. As an accessory there are capsules for surprise eggs in small, medium and large (10 pieces).

How to cast hollow eggs

  • Pour tempered couverture chocolate into the halves and tap the mould to release air bubbles.
  • Swirl the mould, then turn it over and pour out the excess.
  • For a sturdy shell, build up 2–3 layers, letting each one set briefly.
  • Chill until the chocolate visibly comes away from the mould, then release.
  • To join the halves, touch the edges briefly onto a slightly warmed tray or brush them with a little couverture.

Tips from our kitchen

Before closing the egg, fill it with mini eggs or chocolates. For colour, apply cocoa butter colours into the mould before casting. The full idea is in the recipe Chocolate egg – the perfect Easter idea, and our chocolate Easter bunny course takes place in Adliswil.

Frequently asked questions

How many layers does a sturdy egg need?

With 2–3 layers the shell is stable enough to release, fill and give as a gift.

Why won’t my egg come out of the mould?

Usually the couverture was not tempered properly or the egg has not been chilled long enough.

Where can I find more moulds?

Bunnies and other motifs are in our Easter moulds and figure moulds, and the full range under chocolate moulds.
