Which Halloween silicone moulds do we stock?

Three silicone moulds put the design straight into the bake – no fiddly decorating needed:

  • Halloween pumpkins silicone mould: for little cakes that already look autumnal the moment you turn them out.
  • Halloween pumpkin faces silicone mould, 6 pieces: six pumpkins with eyes and mouths, each face showing clearly after baking.
  • Halloween silicone mould, 7 designs: seven different Halloween designs in one mould – ideal when you want variety on the buffet.

The moulds work well with sponge mixture, chocolate cake or brownie batter. The finer the design, the finer the crumb needs to be: large pieces of nuts or chocolate blur the outlines.

Halloween cupcake and muffin cases

For the cases, you choose between a design and a colour:

  • With designs: spider web (30 or 36 pieces), ghost, witch, pumpkin party and “Trick or Treat” (60 pieces each), skeleton, skull and ghost party (36 pieces each), “Happy Halloween” (48 pieces), Halloween in packs of 36 and 75 pieces, and the Sweet Monsters muffin cases (48 pieces).
  • Plain and metallic: midnight black (60 pieces), black (50 pieces), Bloom black (48 pieces), metallic black (24 pieces) and metallic green (30 pieces). Plain cases let the frosting take centre stage – an orange topping on a black case says Halloween straight away.
  • Mini cupcake cases: black (60 or 200 pieces), orange (60 pieces) and skull (50 pieces). Perfect for party buffets and children's birthdays, where small bites disappear faster than big ones.

Standard cases go into a muffin tray, mini cases into a mini muffin tray. Everything for cupcakes all year round is in our Cupcakes category.

Tips from our kitchen

  • Double up the cases. If you bake without a muffin tray, put two paper cases inside each other. They keep their shape and the batter does not spread. This also helps with patterned cases: the outer one stays free of grease spots and the design stays clearly visible.
  • Fill only two thirds. The cupcake then domes nicely without overflowing, and the frosting has a level base.
  • Put the silicone mould on a tray. Place the silicone mould on a baking tray or oven rack before filling it. Soft silicone bends, and once filled it is hard to lift safely into the oven. For the pumpkin faces, brush the cavities thinly with butter and dust with flour so eyes and mouths release cleanly.
  • Cool before turning out. Let the cakes rest in the silicone mould for about 10 minutes before turning them out. While warm, they break easily at the fine details.
  • Small moulds, short baking time. Mini cupcakes are often done after 12 to 15 minutes. Do the skewer test earlier than the recipe says: if no batter sticks to the skewer, they are ready.

Our chocolate cupcake recipe is perfect for black cases, and the carrot cupcakes bring autumn colour right into the batter. We show you how to get frosting and decoration right in our cupcake courses in Adliswil.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between cupcake and muffin cases?

In the oven, hardly any: both go into the cavities of a muffin tray. The difference lies in the bake – a cupcake gets a crown of frosting, a muffin usually does not. That is why you can use the cases in this range for both.

Why can I hardly see the design after baking?

Fat from the batter soaks into the paper and makes the design fade. A second case, a slightly less buttery batter or dark cases such as midnight black or metallic black, on which grease spots barely show, solve the problem.

What is the quickest way to decorate Halloween cupcakes?

A generous swirl of orange or green frosting with a star nozzle, a few sprinkles on top – done. You will find matching decorations among our Halloween decorations, and everything for wrapping and gifting under Halloween party supplies & packaging.
