Once inserted into the Piping bag, the attached nozzle can be changed as many times as you like without the filling ever having to leave the bag — ideal when a cake needs several decorations in the same colour.
How to fit the adapter correctly
Installation is straightforward: the lower part of the adapter is pushed from the inside into the tip of the Piping bag before it is filled with cream or icing. Then attach the desired Piping nozzle and screw it in place with the locking ring. To switch nozzles, simply loosen the ring, remove the nozzle and attach the new one — the filled bag remains completely undisturbed.
Compatible with the most popular Piping nozzles
The adapter is compatible with Decora Piping nozzles with a diameter of 15 to 20 mm — for example the 17 mm Star tip. This is excellent for rosettes, Borders or classic stars on cupcakes, while a round nozzle of the same diameter creates fine lettering, dots or outlines. If you want to combine both effects on one cake, simply switch between nozzles without having to mix the filling again.
The cap as a handy freshness keeper
The included cap seals the adapter reliably when no Piping nozzle is attached. This is practical when you need to take a break from decorating or want to store the filled Piping bag briefly in the fridge — the cap prevents cream or icing from drying out or picking up fridge odours.
Tips from practice
The adapter works especially well with Buttercream and firmer fillings, as the mixture doesn't squeeze out unintentionally during a nozzle change. With runny icing, it's worth turning the bag upward briefly before switching to prevent any leaks. If you're working with several colours, you can prepare a separate bag with adapter for each colour and switch between colours and patterns in no time.
