If the flowers and blossoms made of sugar mass are to retain their shape, it is absolutely necessary to dry them well before attaching them to the cake or cupcake. The same applies to leaves and individual petals, which are subsequently tied into a large flower. With this leaf stand you can dry individual leaves as well as petals on wire.

Cut out one petal from fondant, flower paste or other modeling clay. You can also cut out several individual petals. Use a modeling tool or an embosser to give the leaf a beautiful pattern as well as filigree edges. Especially beautiful are, for example, some leaf veins or a very thin edge.

Once the leaf is formed, carefully place it in the leaf former. If desired, you can still paint the leaves a little. To do this, put some powder paint on a piece of household paper. With a fine brush, the color is then distributed, for example, on the outer edge or on the entire leaf. With different shades of yellow and red, you create an autumnal leaf.

So let the individual flowers and leaves dry until they are hardened and can be used as decoration. The former does not need to be cleaned, but should it be soiled by color powder or another mass, it can be briefly rinsed with a little dishwashing liquid.
