The principle is as simple as it is effective: a Tappit is a narrow strip of food compliant plastic with punched-out letters, numbers or motifs. The strip is pressed onto thinly rolled fondant or flower paste, the material takes on the shape of the recesses – and with a light tap on the strip, the cut element is released cleanly. No distortion, no reworking, no tool change.

What sets Tappits apart from conventional letter cutters is production speed. Anyone wanting to add lettering to a cake with Tappits needs a fraction of the time that individual letter cutters would require – and achieves a consistency in letter size and appearance that is difficult to reach by hand.
