How to use the magical Harry Potter cookie cutter

300 g flour
150 g powdered sugar
8 g vanilla sugar
1 egg

This will prevent your dough from tearing during processing. A thinly rolled out dough will be crispy after baking. If you want your cookies to be softer, you can also leave the dough 0.5 cm thick. Now place the cookies on a baking tray lined with baking paper and bake in a preheated oven at 200 degrees Celsius until golden brown.

A little tip: when to use cold butter and when to use room temperature or warm butter?
Quite simply: cold butter is ideal for doughs such as most cookie doughs. The cold butter holds the dough together and gives the dough stability. So use cold butter for your cookies and cookies. This makes it easier to lift the cut shapes onto the baking tray. If you notice that your dough is getting stickier and warmer, put the dough in the fridge for a few minutes.
Warm butter is used for smooth doughs. The butter is usually beaten with eggs and sugar to prevent lumps. This is usually the case with cake recipes.

If you now want to decorate your cookies with royal icing (egg white icing), take the royal icing mix. Prepare the mix as described on the packaging. So that the icing doesn't just stay white, you can color the icing with the Pro-Gel colors. Divide the icing into as many different bowls as the colors you want. One dab of the ProGel colors is enough to achieve an intense color. You can now apply the royal icing to the cooled biscuits with a brush or a cornet. You can now add various sprinkles to your cookies. The cookies should now be placed in a dry place to dry for a while. This is probably the most difficult step for anyone with a sweet tooth!
