A beautiful, elegant decoration for a fondant cake is needed, but it lacks that certain something? The daisy cutters are perfect for simple, yet elegant decorations. The different cookie cutter sizes allow you to make the right flower for any decoration.
Cookie cutter set - application
Choose a mass from which you want to cut out the flowers afterwards. You can use marzipan or flower paste, but fondant, Massa Ticino and modeling chocolate are also suitable. Depending on the mass, use a different base. For sugar masses, a little baker's starch will keep them from sticking to the work surface. A silicone mat is also a good choice.
Now roll out the mass thinly. The flowers look most realistic when the center is a little thicker than the edge of the leaves. Once you are satisfied with the thickness, you can use light pressure to cut out the shapes. Then press down on the ejector once, imprinting the center. Then press out the flower with the ejector.
The individual flowers can also be further decorated. With an airbrush, noble color gradients are created. Leaf veins you can achieve with a silicone embosser or a modeling tool, so the leaves look especially real. You can also add a small dab of egg white icing to the center and stick a butterfly made of edible paper or fondant or small yellow bead on top. The possibilities are endless, with these simple cookie cutters you can create many different pretty and classy decorations.
