Edible glitter for cocktails turns any drink into a showstopper: a pinch in the glass, a quick stir, and prosecco, gin and tonic or lemonade shimmer in fine swirls. At miniSchoggi you will find almost 40 products – cocktail glitter in more than 20 shades and coloured glitter sugar for rimming glasses.

Which cocktail glitter do we stock?

  • Classic colours: gold, silver, bronze, red, pink, orange, yellow, green, blue, violet and black, some also in darker shades.
  • Two-tone effects: gold-blue, gold-red, gold-green and gold-yellow – a golden shimmer with a coloured undertone.
  • Pearlescent: pink, gold, violet and blue for a fine, mother-of-pearl sheen.
  • Sizes: small packs to try out (such as black at 1.5 g), 25 g packs for bars, catering and big parties, and a set for discovering several colours.
  • Glitter sugar: 100 g in gold, red, pink, orange, yellow, green, blue, violet and black – ideal for a sparkling sugar rim.

How to use cocktail glitter

Less is more: a knife tip per glass is usually enough for a clear effect. The glitter looks best in clear or pale drinks such as prosecco, gin and tonic, lemonade or mocktails; in cola or coffee you'll barely see it. Add the glitter to the empty glass or shaker first, then pour – it spreads more evenly than when sprinkled on top. Stir briefly before serving so the glitter shimmers nicely in the drink.

For a sugar rim, moisten the glass with a lime wedge and dip it upside down into the glitter sugar. You'll find ingredients for your drinks under cocktail ingredients and tools for your home bar under cocktail accessories.

Frequently asked questions

Is cocktail glitter the same as cake glitter?

Not quite: cocktail glitter is made for drinks. For cakes, chocolates and cake pops you'll find a wider choice under glitter & mica, and for a touch of luxury there is gold leaf & silver.

How much glitter do I need for a party?

At a knife tip per glass, a 25 g pack will see you through many rounds. For an evening with just a few guests, a small pack is often enough.

How should I store edible glitter?

Tightly closed, dry and away from light. Moisture makes it clump, so never use a wet spoon. The best-before date is printed on the pack.
