What types of chocolate packaging and packaging for confectionery are there?

Every praline is a small work of art. That's why homemade treats always deserve perfect packaging. But what this looks like in each individual case can be very different. There is cardboard packaging with a decorative ribbon, elegant boxes, small bags and bags with great patterns as well as transparent boxes that allow you to see the delicacies even before they are unpacked. Colorful, beautifully printed, with or without a window, particularly elegant or simple - in the end, it's all a question of taste. Discover a large selection of different chocolate packaging, let us convince you of their quality and find your ideal packaging!

Wooden boxes

Noble, high-quality and yet simple - our wooden boxes are probably some of the most elegant packaging. They offer excellent protection thanks to their stability, while the golden inlay separates the individual chocolates and prevents them from sliding around. A matching blister is included as a cushion to prevent the wooden lid from damaging the chocolates. As the box is more stable than cardboard and can therefore be reused countless times, it also scores points for sustainability

Handbags

Our smallest packaging is a real eye-catcher! Whether for a single larger piece of confectionery or two smaller chocolates, the handbags are the perfect packaging. Once filled and folded closed, they are securely closed. The flap serves as a handbag handle that can be used to open the small work of art.

Transparent packaging

A transparent box is the perfect way to present your chocolates. The transparent material of the lid or the entire box reveals the contents as soon as the gift is given and shows the recipient what they can look forward to. Flat chocolate packaging often has a golden inlay and looks particularly beautiful when tied with a colorful bow.

We also offer great cuboid-shaped transparent boxes. These are best suited for small chocolate bars. Cut to the right size, they can be stacked, packaged and you can see the great layers through each side of the cube. Of course, you can also fill the cubes with delicious chocolates. Filled to the top with truffles or with stacked molded chocolates, you can create an extraordinary look.

Bags and gift bags for truffles

You don't need a box of chocolates for delicious truffles. They look incredibly good piled up in a gift bag. Depending on the occasion, you can choose a cardboard bag with a motif and window, a bag made of beautifully colored paper or a transparent cellophane bag. Once the chocolate packaging is full, the hinged lid is folded over and fastened or the bag is tied with a bow.

Tall boxes of chocolates

Lots of chocolates in little space - with slightly taller boxes of chocolates, this is no problem. You can fill them with lots of delicious truffles or pretty cut or molded chocolates. For the latter, an insert as an intermediate base is a particularly practical element. Placed on top of the first layer, a thin cardboard or padding film provides stability, a new straight base and the weight of the top layer is optimally distributed. These boxes also look good and are well sealed with a nicely designed strip of strong paper. You can also get creative here and dare to design your own strip of paper. Draw a pretty pattern on sturdy paper, you can leave this painted or cut it out afterwards if you wish. Then cut a slightly longer strip than required and carefully place it around the closed packet. Fold the edges with a little pressure and then cut away the excess so that about 1 cm of both ends overlap. Fasten them together with some single-sided or double-sided adhesive tape. Your individual cover is ready!

What size is the perfect box of chocolates?

Plastic or cardboard, colored or elegant, opaque, with transparent foil as a viewing window or completely transparent - there are thousands of ways to present chocolates in a special way. With different shapes and unusual designs, you are guaranteed to find the variant with the desired effect. But it's not just quality and appearance that play a role here, the most important thing is the size of the chocolate packaging. The number of chocolates required should be suitable, especially for inlays with subdivisions. However, if more or larger chocolates are required, the inlay can simply be removed before use.

Very small boxes of chocolates are suitable for fine small chocolates as a delicious souvenir or addition to a gift. Slightly larger boxes of chocolates also offer a lot of pleasure and are often suitable as a gift on their own. For boxes with twelve or more squares, a couple can also enjoy the festive treat. Depending on how much the recipient likes to snack, you can of course choose to give a little more or a little less.

When choosing a box of chocolates, also consider the material and the alternatives. In a cellophane bag, for example, the quantity can be easily varied, whether tied at the bottom or filled to the top - the bags always look great with a pretty bow. If you want to enjoy the wonderful aroma of chocolate as soon as you open them, wooden boxes are perfect. If you want them to look attractive from the outside, you can give the chocolates a classy touch with a box with a transparent lid.

How are chocolates packaged?

Once the right packaging has been purchased and the chocolates have been made, the next step is to put them together to create an outstanding overall experience for the recipient.

Some of the same rules apply as for storing the snacks. We recommend keeping them cool, but not cold, for a particularly long shelf life. A dry cellar without direct sunlight is great, while a refrigerator with a lot of moisture and a lot of vegetable and cheese flavors is not a good idea. They should also be nice and cool when you pack them, so they don't melt from the heat of your hands when you move them.

Paper or aluminum moulds increase the protection of the chocolates during transport, as they prevent them from sliding around and serve as small cushions between the individual pieces. They also add a little more color and look great.

For tall boxes of chocolates, several layers can be made. The best way to do this is to place an intermediate base or a piece of cardboard or bubble wrap in between. This distributes the weight evenly and keeps all the chocolates standing upright.

Chocolates are small works of art and want to be presented accordingly. It would be a great pity if they were damaged during transportation by sliding around. For this reason, we recommend filling any remaining space, for example around the edges of the box, with some colored tissue paper or something similar. This looks classy and provides excellent protection.

If an edge has chipped off or small air holes have remained from the molding process, there are very simple methods to conceal them. Holes can be quickly and elegantly hidden with fine white chocolate strips or a carefully placed pearl. Surfaces can be coated or sprayed with glitter so that, for example, a broken piece of the shell or a lack of shine is hardly noticeable.
