What types of packaging are there for chocolate bars?

When you think of chocolate, the traditional chocolate bar is definitely one of the first things that comes to mind. The delicious aroma when you take it out of the wrapper and the satisfying crunch when you break off a piece are simply irresistible. Making your own treats with high-quality polycarbonate chocolate molds and couverture is a breeze and you can refine them with a variety of ingredients. You too can make your own delicious creations - it's easier than you think!

Plastic table packaging

In our range you will find flat bags in various sizes, so there is the perfect bag for almost every size of board. The finished board is simply slipped inside, then the top edge is folded to the underside and secured with the integrated adhesive strip. The board is then elegantly packaged, protected from moisture and still clearly visible.

If the right size is not available for your chosen board shape, we recommend ordering the next larger bag. Place the board in one corner and seal the bag as normal with the integrated adhesive strip. Next, fold the other protruding side onto the back and secure it with a short strip of adhesive tape. The board is now perfectly packaged!

Flat transparent bag with gold base

Some of the flat bags with adhesive strips also come with a matching golden cardboard base. This fits perfectly into the bag and provides additional protection for the board on top. It also makes the whole thing look even more elegant.

Board packaging made from cardboard

For particularly high-quality packaging, you can use this elegant cardboard packaging with a clear conscience. They are supplied flat to prevent damage, but can be folded into a finished box in just a few simple steps. If required and if you want the box to last a long time, you can attach the side flaps with a little paper glue. The chocolate bar is then best placed in a chocolate bar bag. Now close the last flap, add a stitch if desired and the elegant gift is ready. The design with the side opening offers a kind of small viewing window and allows a glimpse of the precious gift.

Cellophane bags

The surface shines under the foil, you can hear the gentle crackling when you open it and the wonderful aroma of the wrapped chocolate envelops you. This simple yet incredibly versatile packaging enhances any chocolate creation. We particularly like to use the cellophane bags when several chocolate bars are given as gifts at once. If they are rather small and fit on the base, they can be placed inside as a small tower, otherwise they are layered on their sides. The whole thing is closed with a pretty bow and given as a gift.

Transparent cubes

These cubes impress with their unusual packaging design. They offer an appealing look and good protection for the treats they contain. The folding boxes can also be stored again afterwards to save space. If the base area of the cube matches the size of the tablet shape, a small tower is constructed. Otherwise, the sheets are placed in sideways. If desired, the bars can also be individually wrapped in chocolate bags so that they retain their own aroma better, do not stick together and can be enjoyed over a longer period of time without any problems.

What tools and accessories are available for wrapping chocolate bars?

Transparent boxes, cardboard packaging and transparent bags for chocolate bars or figurines are sometimes simply not enough for the perfect presentation of your treats. There are even more accessories to discover to impress every recipient.

Meshes

A pretty stitch in the right color always fits! We have a large selection of stitches with clips. These are particularly practical for closing cellophane bags. Unfortunately, they don't fit around larger folded packaging, so you can use a gift ribbon and tie a nice mesh.

Cardboard tag

Where there is a stitch, you can also attach a pretty tag. Give them suitable lettering, whether small greetings or just a name, and tie them to the bow. It is always important to choose the right tag, for example there are special tags for Christmas or neutral tags for different festivals.

Aluminum foil

Most chocolate bars in the supermarket are wrapped in aluminum foil - and with good reason. The thin foil provides the chocolate with excellent protection from UV radiation caused by sunlight. This would cause the fat crystals to dissolve, changing the smell, taste and possibly also the appearance. The colorful films, which you can also find in our store, provide optimum protection for the chocolate bars. Wrapped bars can be placed in cardboard packaging or stacked in cellophane bags or cubes for additional protection and an even more elegant appearance.

What do I need to bear in mind when wrapping high-quality chocolate?

Once you've found the right packaging and made the delicious treats, it's time to put them together to make a fantastic gift for the recipient. Similar rules to those for storing couverture and chocolate apply here too. For optimum freshness, we recommend keeping them cool, but not too cold. A dry cellar without direct sunlight is ideal, while a damp refrigerator with various vegetable or cheese flavors is not recommended. Before you pack the bars, make sure they are nice and cool to avoid melting from hand heat.
Safe transportation of the treats is of great importance, as it would be a great shame if the carefully made delicacies were damaged in the end. Moulds are particularly easy to secure. They can be easily stacked in high-quality packaging and transported in a bag or rucksack.

If the treats are not quite perfect, there are simple ways to cover up small imperfections. Use white chocolate strips or polka dots to elegantly conceal the holes. You can embellish surfaces with glitter spray or powder from a tin to conceal a lack of shine or irregularities. Your creations will still look fantastic despite tiny imperfections!
