If you make chocolates and chocolate bars yourself, you have a few praline ingredients to choose from. We will present the most important ones here. Clear guidelines do not exist, in a Schokoalden filling may enter what tastes.

Nuts - the be-all and end-all of pralines and chocolates ingredients

Nuts are a special highlight in pralines and chocolate almond bars. They lend a very unique flavor due to the crunchy center. Pralines and chocolate bars can be refined either with chopped nuts or with whole nuts. Walnuts, hazelnuts and pistachios are particularly popular for this purpose. But more unusual types of nuts also make an excellent combination with the chocolate filling of a praline.

Chocolate - the standard among chocolates & bars ingredients

The outer shell of almost every praline is made of chocolate, but that's not all. The inside of chocolates can also be refined with a variety of chocolate types. Suitable for this purpose are, for example, nougat or dark chocolate. In general, it is a clever idea to create the filling of chocolate with a different type than the shell. These combined chocolates give a unique taste on the tongue.

Ganache - the unknown ingredient

This filling is known by few, yet very common in chocolates. It is a very fine and creamy alternative to pure chocolate. For this purpose, chocolate is mixed with cream and, if necessary, a little butter is added. The mixing ratio itself varies and depends on your own taste. After production, ganache can still be refined with other flavors and ingredients.

Alcohol - indispensable in many chocolates

Every good selection of chocolates must include fillings with alcohol. Those who make the chocolates themselves, however, must be careful not to use too much of it. Otherwise it quickly drowns out the taste of the chocolate and that should not be the point. The alcohol in chocolates should only be a liquid note.

Fruits are among the most popular chocolates and chocolate bars ingredients

One of the best ingredients for chocolates and chocolate bars are of course fruits of any kind. Whether candied or dried fruit, both types are excellent. The Amarena cherry has proved particularly successful. In combination with chocolate, this fruit unfolds a true taste explosion on the palate.
