Simple gift bow without ribbon, crafting and DIY

Whether it's a big birthday present, a gift bag or fine chocolates in a cellophane bag, an elegant bow will enhance any gift! Sometimes a simple gift bow is the right choice, other times an elaborate rosette of ribbon. But tying the perfect bow is a real art. There are countless videos on how to tie different bows. But sometimes it can be quite simple. With the stitch clips you always have a perfect bow, it can be centered without any problems, it is easy to attach and can be reused. And all this without having to tie a single piece of ribbon! Of course, the clip cannot be attached to every gift, as its length is designed for closing cellophane bags.

Which packaging do the bows go with?

Bags for chocolate bars

When you think of chocolate, the classic chocolate bar is certainly one of the first things that comes to mind. It's simply wonderful to smell the tempting aroma when you open the wrapper and then break off a piece with a loud crack. Moulding your own bars with high-quality polycarbonate moulds and couverture is very easy and allows you to refine the treats with other ingredients as you wish. For gift packaging, choose the right packaging according to the size. In the supermarket, most chocolate bars are wrapped in aluminum foil, but for self-wrapping and especially for special shapes, we recommend using cellophane bags. Square bars are best stacked and placed in bags with a suitable base or individually wrapped in flat cellophane bags. The bag is then gathered together directly over the chocolate and closed tightly with the clip on the mesh. In this way, the chocolate is perfectly protected, the tempting aroma is preserved and you can admire the delicacy through the bag.

Cellophane bags

The chocolate shines under the foil, you can hear the gentle crackling when you open it and the stunning smell of the wrapped chocolate immediately envelops you. This simple but incredibly versatile packaging enhances any chocolate creation. The size must of course be suitable for the treat to be packaged. The bags then serve as beautiful packaging for truffles, chocolate bars, various cookies, sweets and candies. There is even room for animal figures or high heels made of chocolate coating. Bags with a matching cardboard base are particularly suitable for the latter. They can be placed flat on top and glued on with a little chocolate if necessary.

Choose the color of the bow that suits you best and close the bag with the clip. A truffles or chocolate bag looks great when the bag is pulled together in the middle and closed. However, it also looks particularly good for high heels or chocolate figures if the bag is folded a little more carefully. To do this, smooth out the opening at the top and press out a little air. Fold the edge over twice narrowly and then hold both sides towards the middle or slightly overlapping and attach the clip on top. This keeps the bag nice and smooth.

Chocolate handbags with elegant gift bow

The mini handbags are perfect for particularly small confectionery items or chocolates. The folding box is very easy to close and does not need a bow to stay closed. However, it looks great if the bag is given a colorful stitch and a name tag or greeting card can be attached in no time at all. The clip is attached around the handle of the handbag.

Do-it-yourself paper bag

If you like DIY, you can of course also easily make your own paper bag. You can find brief instructions here.

Colored paper or wrapping paper are suitable materials. If you want a specific motif, e.g. for your Christmas presents, you can also print something suitable or even paint the paper yourself. Then cut a rectangle or square, the size of course depends on the future contents. Then fold the sides towards the middle so that they overlap by approx. 1 to 2 cm. Stick them together with a piece of adhesive tape. Then fold a piece upwards from the bottom end, the wider the base is to be, the more you fold over.

Then hold the part folded upwards at a 90 degree angle, open it and lay the side fold flat on the center and smooth the edges. Now a kind of arrow points out to the side and the inside of the paper can be seen on the back of the arrow or triangle. Repeat this for the other side.

Place the paper in front of you so that the arrows point to the right and left and the longer part points away from you. Take the unfolded base at the top and bottom and fold the two parts towards the center so that they overlap slightly. Glue the bottom in place.

Your own gift bag will be ready in no time! Fill it with chocolates, biscuits or something else entirely. Then fold the top edge over twice, fold the sides towards the middle and secure the whole thing with a clip and bow.

What tools and accessories are available for wrapping chocolate?

Pretty bags and elegant gift bows are sometimes just not enough for the perfect and complete presentation of your treats. Here you will find additional accessories to complete your creations.

Cardboard tag

Where there is a stitch, you can also attach a pretty tag. Label them with names or short greetings and tie them to the bow with a fine gold thread, for example.

Aluminum foil

The thin, colorful aluminum foils are ideal for delicious truffles or chocolate eggs. They allow you to present the highest quality with ease. The aluminum foil protects the chocolate from moisture and light so that it stays fresh for a long time.

Beetle feet

As we all know, you eat with your eyes and what could be better than these fun decorations? With the right mold, you can conjure up a fun chocolate beetle in no time at all. Then stick the beetle onto the matching beetle feet with a little chocolate - a real eye-catcher!

What do I need to bear in mind when wrapping high-quality chocolate?

Once the right packaging has been chosen and the delicious chocolate treats have been made, it's time to put together a fantastic gift for the recipient. Similar rules apply to storing couverture and chocolate. To preserve their freshness, we recommend storing them in a cool, but not too cold place. A dry cellar without direct sunlight is ideal, while a damp refrigerator with various odors from vegetables or cheese is not recommended. Make sure that chocolates, for example, are nice and cool, especially before packaging, to prevent them from melting due to hand heat.
Safe transportation of the product is of great importance, as it would be a shame if the carefully crafted delicacy was damaged. If you transport a chocolate figure in a transparent bag, it can be stored upside down in the bag.

If the figure or a chocolate high heel is on a gold base, you can stick it on with a little edible glue or chocolate and wrap the bag in this way. Bar shapes are particularly easy to secure. They can be stacked in high-quality packaging and transported in a bag or rucksack.

If your treats don't look quite perfect, there is always a way to conceal small imperfections. Use white chocolate or pearls to cover up small air holes. You can make your delicacies even shinier and more appealing with glitter spray or powder. Small flaws will no longer be noticeable!
