So that the chocolates succeed perfectly, the praline mold is available in different sizes, materials and designs, so that simple and filled chocolates are quickly made with a little practice.

The differences in the shape of chocolates

Praline molds are distinguished between a solid mold and a hollow mold. While the full-body mold is a relatively simple praline mold that is only filled with chocolate, the hollow-body molds offer significantly more possibilities. With this, multi-layered fillings in different flavors can be produced to multiply the pleasure.

Individual sizes and motifs for the praline molds

The praline molds are available in different sizes, so that an individual number of pralines can be prepared. As a rule, the choice depends on the recipe in question and the number of pralines for which the praline molds should be designed. The width and depth of the individual molds also play an important role, as they provide information about how much mass can be filled in. With regard to the motifs, there are no limits, because now there is not only the classic praline mold, but also letters or special motifs, that is, everything that is also fun to be filled.

Different materials for the praline molds

The best known are certainly paper molds, because it is uncomplicated, easy to handle and above all cheap. Due to the fluted pattern on the inside, the praline can be easily removed, but reuse is usually not possible. While in the past aluminum or polycarbonate were often used as praline molds, today silicone is used more and more frequently. This is a material that is malleable and flexible and has a non-stick coating. However, silicone is the worst for praline molds. Never use this! With silicone molds, the praline will never shine nicely and will be harder to mold out than with professional polycarbonate molds. Therefore, ideally use polycarbonate molds or metal molds from the past.
