Christmas baking moulds and cupcake cases bring festive cheer to every bake: a Stollen baked in its tin, a Christmas tree cake for afternoon tea or cupcakes with snowflakes and stars. Here you will find around 40 items – from the Christstollen tin to the St Nicholas silicone mould.
A Stollen is baked in its tin so that the heavy yeast dough, packed with fruit and almonds, does not spread. While it is still warm, brush it with melted butter and dust it generously with sugar.
Place silicone moulds on a baking tray before filling them – that way you can slide them into and out of the oven safely. Let the bake cool a little in the mould before releasing it; fine designs such as the sleigh or stars then keep all their detail. Fill cupcake cases about two-thirds full. Sugar pearls and sprinkles go onto the frosting after baking, never onto the batter beforehand. You will find them under Christmas sprinkles, and a reliable basic recipe in our chocolate cupcake recipe.
Fancy more festive baking? Spice, baking mix and cutters are under Gingerbread baking, everything for the Italian Christmas bread under Panettone, and for the festive Swiss roll the Yule log (Bûche de Noël) category. Everything for the festive season is under Winter & Christmas.
For cake batter, a thin film of butter or release spray is worth it, especially with detailed designs. The bake comes out cleanly and the outlines stay crisp.
Yes, put them in a muffin tray. Without support, paper cases spread out during baking and the cupcakes turn out flat.
