Broken Chocolate Course - Just for Fun

Bruchschokolade - You have certainly never eaten such fresh chocolate before. Are you looking for a sweet and homemade gift idea for Christmas for friends, for a birthday for your loved ones or as an additional sales product for your own farm shop? Our broken chocolate course is perfect for this, because who doesn't love fresh chocolate and then homemade too! Please note that we will not be tempering the chocolate / couverture ourselves in this course. If you want to learn more about tempering chocolate / couverture, please visit our couverture tempering course.

Nowadays, broken chocolate is freshly made chocolate that is broken or cut directly after production. This chocolate is characterised by its extreme freshness and the large quantity of various high-quality ingredients in the chocolate. The typical broken edges, which are created by breaking or cutting, give a direct view of what is inside the chocolate.

Each person is allowed to mould four of their own chocolate bars and cut the moulded chocolate bars into 8 chocolate bar pieces of the same size. By the end of the course, each person will have made a total of 32 individual chocolate bars.

Our course leader, an experienced chocolatier, will show you step by step how to make such a chocolate bar. Each person is allowed to choose five different recipes from many possible recipes.

There are many different ingredients to choose from, such as: various freeze-dried fruits, caramelised hazelnuts, cocoa nibs, various nuts, ginger, various spices, flakes, dried fruits, cornflakes, various granulates such as: Caramel, passion fruit, blood orange, whale berry granules or even pop sugar.

As each person makes four different types of broken chocolate, the made and crushed broken chocolates can either be exchanged for themselves or in the group with other participants. Everyone can decide this for themselves, according to their own wishes.

Each participant makes approx. 1 kg of mixed broken chocolate. The individual bars are particularly attractive when packed in a transparent "sack" and stacked with different varieties. It is up to each individual how many bars are stacked on top of each other in the sack. A single bar weighs approx. 25 - 30 g. At the end of the course, the filled chocolate sacks are closed with a nice mesh before being packed in a carrier bag for transport home. All participants will receive a recipe booklet with the respective chocolate recipes to make at home with their loved ones. Also a great idea for homemade gifts, you are guaranteed to score points with this gift idea.

This course is suitable for anyone over the age of 10 who loves chocolate and would like to spend a few carefree hours with us. You will learn the basics of making chocolate, but not how to temper it. If you would like to learn how to temper chocolate, then why not attend our couverture tempering course, as our broken chocolate course does not cover this part.
