Application and properties of the Super Sprinkles
The super crumbles are 100% edible and have a neutral taste. The medium and large balls in the decorative mix are filled with crispy crispy and coated in smooth milk chocolate. These crispy balls therefore not only look nice, but are also pleasant to eat. The candy canes are made from thin, raw pasta. This makes them the prettiest, but also the hardest thing in the mix. The great thing about these colorful sugar pearls is that they can be used in many different ways. Sprinkle your cookies, cakes, ice cream, cakes, muffins and even ice cream with the springtime sugar decorations to your heart's content. The sugar pearls can be sprinkled onto a glaze or couverture just before they dry or applied to fondant, flower paste, modeling chocolate or marzipan with light pressure. Juicy carrot cupcakes with cream cheese topping and the colorful sprinkle decorations are particularly suitable at Easter time to crown any Easter brunch.
You need the following ingredients for 12 cupcakes:
100 carrots, 70g soft butter (preferably room temperature), 70g sugar, 1 pack vanilla sugar, 2 eggs, 125g flour, 1 teaspoon baking powder, 50g ground almonds, a little cinnamon
For the topping:
200g Philadelphia, 40g sugar, 1 vanilla pod, 1 teaspoon lemon juice, a little cinnamon, ProGel food coloring of your choice, sugar decoration of your choice
Place 12 cupcakes in the muffin tin and heat the oven to 180 degrees top and bottom heat. Peel the carrots, grate them finely and put the finely grated carrots to one side. Mix the softened butter in a mixing bowl until creamy and gradually add the sugar and vanilla sugar until you have a homogeneous mixture. Add the two eggs. Each egg should be stirred in for about 1-2 minutes at the highest speed. Now mix the flour with the baking powder and add it to the butter-sugar-egg mixture. Finally, stir in the carrots and almonds. Spread the batter evenly into the paper cases. Make sure that you have not filled the tins to the top, as the batter will still rise very well during baking. Bake your cupcakes for approx. 20 minutes. To make sure that your cupcakes are fully baked, you can carry out the stick test. If no dough remains stick to the stick, your cupcakes are ready. If this is not yet the case, put your ramekins back in the oven for another 2 minutes.
For the topping, mix Philadelphia with sugar, vanilla seeds, a little cinnamon and lemon juice until smooth. To give your cream cheese topping a pretty color, you can dye the mixture with ProGel food coloring of your choice. To do this, divide the mixture into several small containers and add a dab of your desired color to each container. As soon as everything is mixed together, fill the different mixtures individually into piping bags with a star-shaped nozzle. Now pipe the cream onto the cupcake in a circular motion. The best comes at the end, of course: Take the colorful sugar sprinkles of your choice and sprinkle them over your little cupcakes. Just the way you like it.
