Description

Edible Cornflower Flowers Pink

Edible flowers offer great decoration options for treats of all kinds. Besides their beautiful colors, they offer much more. They themselves do not taste and thus do not change the taste of the actual product. So they are suitable for sweets like éclairs and chocolates, but also for salads and salty treats.

Application - edible flowers

The flowers are absolutely natural and can be consumed without hesitation. The drying process gives them a long shelf life and a special appearance. You can use them for almost any dish. In salads, ravioli or a soup, the petals can simply be sprinkled on top or all around.

If you want to create noble macarons with an original decoration, the dressed shells are sprinkled with a few leaves. It looks especially great if the flowers and the shells have slightly different colors. In the still sticky dough they hold well, the latter dries and is then baked. Bread can also be decorated in this way. If it does not stick so well, simply brush with a little water or egg. But here you should also pay attention to the baking time. Of course, it is possible that the petals darken, so it is best to put on small buns or only afterwards on large breads.

The field of application of the edible flowers is huge, you can also use them for most sweet pastries. You can create beautiful éclairs with a natural touch by sprinkling a few leaves on the still soft icing. You can decorate cakes, cupcakes, cookies, creams and much more in a very similar way. In sticky masses such as buttercream, various types of icing, soft cake icing, toppings and creams, the dried petals adhere well.

If you like to use them for dried icing or treats decorated with fondant, a little edible glue is enough to help. Coat the surface with it, sprinkle on and they hold.

The edible petals are also wonderfully suitable for chocolates. First, the hollow shells are filled with a melt-in-the-mouth ganache, then sealed with high-quality couverture. A few petals are placed on the still soft couverture and as soon as it has dried, the pralines are unmolded and are ready to be given away or enjoyed.
