Description

Croissant cutter 20 x 18 cm

Homemade croissants and filled croissants are extremely popular and taste delicious, but cutting the dough triangles evenly is often a challenge. While one croissant becomes extremely wide, there is hardly any room for filling in the next one and a third one resembles a thick French croissant. With the croissant cutter, this is no longer a problem. With this croissant cutter you cut triangles that are especially suitable for large French croissants.

Croissant cutter - Application

For your own croissants, you can either use a homemade croissant or puff pastry or a purchased puff pastry. If you buy a puff pastry, it is best to choose a rectangular rolled out dough. You can also roll out your own puff pastry into a rectangle, tour it and refrigerate it wrapped in plastic wrap. The cold puff pastry is then rolled out about 22 cm wide.

Take the croissant cutter and place it on one side of the rectangle. So you now roll once over the entire dough. The stainless steel blades cut the dough into even triangles, and the edge is also cut off automatically. Since the individual sheets do not have to be ground, there is also no risk of injury.

Now you can make a small cut with a sharp knife in the middle of the lower edge of each triangle. This will allow you to pull them apart slightly when rolling them up, so the little croissant will not be excessively thick, but a little wider. Before rolling up, you can also put some filling on the dough, for example, some bake-proof chocolate cream, almond paste or a ham filling is particularly delicious.

The croissants are placed on a baking tray and left at room temperature for 30 minutes. This way they rise more evenly and become nice and crispy. Before baking, they are brushed with a little egg yolk, a little water in the hot oven also provides steam, which makes your pastries rise even nicer. After 10 to 15 minutes in the oven preheated to 190 °C top and bottom heat, the croissants are nice and airy and crispy. They just need to cool down a bit and can be enjoyed for a snack or brunch.

The croissant cutter is made of stainless steel and has plastic handles, so it can be easily cleaned in the dishwasher after use. So you bake delicious ham croissants, nut croissants and croissants.
