The cookie cutter set is particularly suitable for decorating cakes, cupcakes or cake pops with sweet rose petals made of fondant, Massa Ticino, flower paste or marzipan. Cookie cutter - Application

Choose a mass from which you want to cut out the leaves afterwards. You can use marzipan or flower paste, fondant, Massa Ticino and modeling chocolate are also suitable. Depending on the mass, use a different base. For sugar masses, a little baker's starch will keep them from sticking to the work surface. A silicone mat is also a good choice.

Now roll out the mass thinly. The leaves look most realistic when the center is a little thicker than the edge of the leaves. Once you are satisfied with the thickness, you can cut out the leaves with light pressure. You can add these leaves directly to a rose or tie them into a rose bush using florist's wire. To do this, cut out one large, two medium, two small and, depending on the size, two very small leaves. The largest leaf is placed on top of the florist's wire, followed by the smaller leaves on the right and left.

The individual leaves can also be further decorated. With an airbrush, noble color gradients are created. You can achieve fine leaf veins with a silicone embosser or a modeling tool. This makes the leaves look more real. You can also put a small dab of egg white icing on a leaf and glue a butterfly made of edible paper or fondant on top.
