Silicone baking tins are cold and heat resistant from -40 to 250 degrees. This means that silicone baking tins can be frozen, baked and cleaned in the dishwasher. There are therefore no limits to the possible uses of this almond silicone mold. You can use this silicone mold to bake small almond tarts or nut tarts, but also to make ice cubes, confectionery, mousse or glass in almond shapes. But beware: even if the silicone mold seems perfect, silicone still gets hot in the oven. Therefore, always wear oven gloves and allow the silicone mold to cool down well. You can also use cake gloss (Mirror Galce). To do this, place your round almond slices on a grid, cover them evenly with the finished mirror ice cream mixture and leave to stand for a while so that the ice cream can set well. For the velvet spray and also for the cake glaze, it is important that your mixture is frozen. Ice cream, ice cream and sorbet can be served immediately. A mousse or patisserie can be thawed slowly in the fridge. Your creativity is called for with this form: to refine a delicious nut tartlet, for example, you can make a sweet almond mousse, freeze it in the form and then serve it on the tartlet as a tasty, decorative addition. If you use a savory version instead of a sweet almond paste, you can create wonderful starters that not only look impressive, but also taste great! You can also use it to freeze a wide variety of creams and serve them as main courses. How about homemade herb butter with almonds to accompany barbecued food? Anything is possible with silicone!

Baked goods - sweet or savory

What do I need to consider when cleaning and caring for silicone molds?

Before use, you should place your silicone mold in a warm water bath with a little washing-up liquid. Although this is not necessary, it will contribute to the longevity of your silicone mold. The warm water with washing-up liquid closes the pores of the silicone surface better. This keeps the material flexible for longer. After the silicone mold has been in the water bath for 5-10 minutes, you can now place it on a kitchen towel to drain. Try not to rub the baking mold dry with the kitchen towel. Silicone is a real lint catcher. As soon as the silicone mold is dry, you can use it straight away. Additional greasing is not necessary thanks to the non-stick coating. After you have baked your delicious cakes or frozen ice cream, you can simply put the silicone mold in the dishwasher. Depending on how often you use the silicone mold, we recommend that you outgas your silicone mold 1-2 times a year. To do this, place the silicone mold in the middle of your oven at 200 degrees top/bottom heat for 4 hours. The heat ensures that accumulated substances in the silicone baking mold evaporate. From time to time, a white layer or white dots may form on the silicone mold. This happens especially if you have not used the silicone mold for a long time. Simply place the mold in a water bath with washing-up liquid. This will easily remove the greasy film from the silicone mold and your baking mat can be used again without hesitation. Thanks to the flexibility of the material, the silicone molds can be folded up and stored to save space. Don't worry! The silicone mold will always return to its original shape, even after folding or bending. Say goodbye to bulky metal baking tins.
