Hemisphere silicone mold Ø 3 cm, 24 pieces
Silicone molds are suitable for many different treats, because they can be easily baked and frozen, because they are soft and movable, the finished products can not simply stick in them. For example, you can create pre-shaped ice cream balls, the core for a cream dessert or delicious baked cake balls. The surface is still beautifully smooth after shaping and can thus be excellently coated with sugar icing, couverture, chocolate icing or mirror glaze. Fresh berries, small sugar decorations or chocolate sprinkles complete the decoration.
Hemisphere silicone mold - application
Find a recipe for a dessert or a salty treat and prepare the necessary ingredients and utensils. The silicone mold is suitable for all sorts of things, in addition to ice cream, solid cream and donuts, you can also shape a terrine or a delicious mousse. The most impressive treats are those that are layered or have a delicious center.
For example, if you want to make a layered treat, prepare the individual parts one by one and put them in from top to bottom. For a small ice cream bomb, for example, you put some strawberry, then some vanilla and finally some chocolate ice cream into the mold. More exotic mixes such as passion fruit, coconut and chocolate are also great. If you prefer something salty, you can put in some sticky rice, for example, then a few slices of avocado or a vegetable of your choice, and finally a thin piece of toast. Depending on the type of dish, place the filled mold in the freezer to make it easier to unmold afterwards.
Desserts with a center are particularly practical to coat, and salty treats also look great when a surprise sits in the middle. For this, you also need a slightly larger silicone mold, such as a large hemisphere or flower mold. For the salty version, you can press some sticky rice into the large mold, or you can put a thin cake batter or a spicy sponge cake batter into the mold and pre-bake it. In the smaller mold you freeze some salmon mousse, a thon filling, a vegetable mousse or herb cream cheese. The resulting hemisphere can be placed in the large mold with another cream or chopped vegetables and finally covered with a piece of bread, so you have a layered treat after toppling. For a dessert, proceed in the same way, but choose a cream that will subsequently solidify for the large mold, a ganache, some caramel or a mousse for the center, and a sponge cake slice for the bottom. After freezing, the treat can be unmolded and enjoyed.
Delicious little cakes can also be made in this mold. The mold does not need to be greased, the dough is simply put in and baked. After cooling, the individual cavities are simply inverted, so the cake balls come out easily. They taste best when you then cover them with couverture, chocolate icing or a delicious sugar coating.
Silicone molds are easy to clean in the dishwasher, making baking, filling and unmolding even more fun.
