Adjustable sharp edge tool
With this set for perfect spreading of cakes, you create completely smooth or evenly wavy coatings of buttercream, ganache, cream or icing. The edge also becomes perfect, so you can subsequently create perfectly sharp edges even with a fondant cover. The height as well as the depth are individually adjustable.

Adjustable sharp edge tool
A perfectly smooth lined cake with a sharp edge is the dream of every cake baker. With the adjustable tool you not only smooth the coating, it is also immediately brought to a height and leveled. Set the height and depth at the beginning and the mass is evenly distributed and smoothed or shaped into gentle waves, depending on the side used.
Adjustable sharp edge tool - Application
To begin, spread the finished cooled cake with a cream or ganache of your choice. Butter cream is particularly suitable, but ganache, cream, cream cheese cream or icing are also very good. Give the mass generously on the cake and distribute it already as evenly as possible. Also make sure that there are no large holes.
Now choose whether you want a smooth or rather a slightly wavy cake and set the tool to the right height and depth. This is easily done with the screws of the tool. It is best to place the cake on a rotating cake plate. Then put the tool on and turn the turntable underneath. At the beginning you have to remove a part of the cream from the tool again and again, at the second or third round only a little mass is skimmed off.
Then, in the places where holes have appeared, again put some cream on the cake and lightly spread it into the holes. Then apply the clean tool again and finish smoothing the coating. So you can then decorate the cake or still cover with fondant to finish.
