The rotating cake plate is not only suitable for arranging cakes, but is also ideal for spreading buttercream, cream, ganache and fondant. The rotating plate thus enables ergonomic work and is an indispensable tool that simplifies the production and decoration of sweet treats.
When decorating cakes, the constant interruptions caused by the tedious turning of the cake can be annoying. With a rotating cake plate you have your cake ideally under control. The plate and base are made of food-safe plastic. Easy turning and decorating of cakes is thus made possible. A tool that belongs in every kitchen.

Rotating cake plate and the different applications

Make a sponge cake and fillings according to your desire. Through the use of a Cake rings and a suitable Cake insert strip the subsequent covering of the cake is greatly simplified. The use of these materials prevents an uneven surface on the side, because the filling does not stick to the cake ring and the cake insert strip can be easily removed. It's best to use two cake slices. That way the cake is easy to transport. You can find more information about the cake slice here. After you have layered your cake and made a delicious cream to spread, you now take a Piping bag holder, a Dressing bag and the Edge grommet to hand. Cut a hole in the piping bag. This hole does not have to be huge. The spout must only be able to slip through to the bottom, but not fall out. Put the piping bag with the spout over the holder. Make sure that the tip in the holder is slightly bent so that the cream does not flow out again immediately. Now you can apply the cream to the edge of the cake with this large nozzle. Work your way up from the bottom. The surface you can then apply in a circle. Now comes a Metal horn, a Icing Smoother or a Spatula for use. To do this, hold the horn in one hand and turn the cake plate with the other. If you prefer to work with your right hand, turn the plate counterclockwise. Left-handed people turn the plate clockwise. The steadier you hold your hand, the more even the result will be. Smooth the cake until the perfect result is achieved. The edge of the utensils should now rest against the side of the cake. Hold the utensils as straight as possible and gently turn the rotating cake plate without moving your other hand. Vary with pressure until a nice, smooth edge is created. You can brush off any excess mixture left on the tool on the edge of a bowl.
The top of the cake is done similarly. Hold the spatula horizontally and turn the cake under it. Keep scraping off the excess mixture. Repeat this until every edge is perfect.
Now you can continue decorating the cake. Here, too, the easily rotatable cake plate allows you to quickly change the angle of view. This makes decorating the cake even faster and easier! For cakes that are covered with buttercream or similar masses, we recommend the Velvet spray. To do this, freeze the cake overnight and spray it with Velvet Spray the next day. To do this, place the cake back on the rotating cake plate. Place the cake plate in a large cardboard box. The cardboard box is used to work as cleanly as possible. Now shake the spray and start spraying the cake from a distance of 20 - 30 cm. Turn the cake plate evenly in one direction. This creates an even, velvety cover. The cake can then be defrosted in the refrigerator and finished decorating.
