A beautiful, elegant decoration for a fondant cake is needed, but it lacks that certain something? The rose petal cutters are perfect for simple, yet elegant decorations. The different shapes and cookie cutter sizes allow you to make the right rose petal for any decoration. This set includes 3 cute rose petal shapes in different sizes (25 mm, 30 mm, 40 mm). Thanks to the practical lever, the handling is very easy and the ejector ensures perfect detachment.

Cookie cutter set - application

Choose a mass from which you want to cut out the leaves afterwards. You can use marzipan or flower paste, fondant, Massa Ticino and modeling chocolate are also suitable. Depending on the mass, use a different base. For sugar masses, a little baker's starch will keep them from sticking to the work surface. A silicone mat is also a good choice.

Now roll out the mass thinly. The leaves look most realistic when the center is a little thicker than the edge of the leaves. Once you are satisfied with the thickness, you can use light pressure to cut out the leaves. Then press down on the ejector once to imprint the leaf veins on the leaf. Subsequently, this is pressed out with the ejector.

The individual leaves can also be further decorated. With an airbrush, noble color gradients are created. Somewhat modified leaf veins you can achieve with a silicone embosser or a modeling tool, so the leaves look especially real. You can also add a small dab of egg white icing to a leaf and glue a butterfly made of edible paper or fondant on top. The possibilities are endless, you can create many different pretty and classy decorations with these simple cookie cutters.
