With this cookie cutter set you can make large and small shells from fondant, flower paste, marzipan or modeling clay and emboss them with a beautiful line pattern. Shell cookie cutter set, 3 pieces
A beautiful, noble decoration for a sea fondant cake is needed, but it lacks that certain something? The shell cookie cutters are perfect for simple, but still noble decorations. The different cookie cutter sizes allow you to make the right shell for any decoration.
Cookie cutter set - application
Choose a mass from which you want to cut out the shells afterwards. You can use marzipan or flower paste, but fondant, Massa Ticino and modeling chocolate are also suitable. Depending on the mass, use a different base. For sugar masses, a little baker's starch will keep them from sticking to the work surface. A silicone mat is also a good choice.
Now roll out the mass a little thicker to 2 to 3 mm, so the shells do not necessarily have to be applied flat or glued down. Of course, you can also cut out two thinner shells, glue them together and thus use them as open shells. Once you are satisfied with the thickness, you can use light pressure to cut out the shapes. Then press down on the ejector once, this will imprint the lines. Subsequently, the shell is pressed out with the ejector.
The individual shells can also be further decorated. With an airbrush, noble color gradients are created. To color the center a little darker, it is best to use some powder paint. It looks especially great if you have designed an open shell and hide a small pearl-colored pearl in it. The possibilities are endless, with these simple cookie cutters you will succeed many different pretty and noble decorations.
