Eating paper flowers white and pink
These flowers give a wonderful spring look and bring the colorful season into your bakery. Do you already have an idea of what you want to bake? These flowers look especially cute on cupcakes. Here's a deliciously airy recipe for cupcakes.
You will need:
1 tsp baking powder
50 g butter (room temperature)
2 eggs
200 g flour
120 ml milk
1 pinch of salt
1 packet of vanilla sugar
160 g sugar
For the topping you will need:
250 g full cream
8 g cream stiffener
100 g sugar
Your favourite Progel colors
First mix the sugar with the vanilla sugar. Now beat the eggs in a bowl, add the sugar mixture, the soft butter and a pinch of salt and beat until creamy. Gradually stir in the milk. Preheat the oven to 180° C top/bottom heat.
Now sift the flour with the baking powder and slowly stir into the butter mixture.
Grease a muffin tin with butter or fill it with paper muffin cases. Now fill the tins halfway with the batter. Place everything in the oven on the middle shelf and bake for 25 - 30 minutes at 180° C.
For the cream, whip the full cream until stiff, stir in the sugar and cream stiffener. Now you can color the stiff cream with your favorite colors. To do this, divide the mixture into different bowls and dye each bowl a different color. Of course, it's up to you how many different colors you want to put on your cupcake. Now fill the cream mixture into different piping bags and pipe them on nicely. You can only start piping once your cupcakes have cooled completely, otherwise the cream may become runny and melt onto the cupcake. We recommend that you use a star-shaped nozzle for piping.
Now it's time for the final touch: decorating. The edible paper flowers can be easily removed from the box and then attached to the treats. We recommend that you attach the edible paper decorations just before you present them so that your decorations don't soak during transportation and stay nice and fresh.
Edible paper or wafer
The fun edible paper is particularly popular with children. It crackles like a delicious wafer and the edible paper is available in different colors and shapes. Contrary to what the name suggests, edible paper is not paper, but simply a flat dough made from flour, water and starch that has been baked for a long time. The edible paper is also known as a wafer in the bakery. Nut macaroons are often placed on wafers after shaping and baked in this way so that the macaroons do not become too hard.
