Waffle Crescent

Whether to escape the heat in summer or to enjoy the cold in winter, an ice cream is never the wrong choice for a dessert or Zvieri. If you want to enjoy everything about your ice cream, a cornet or waffle bowl is the best solution. With a waffle iron and this waffle cone, the cornet is quickly baked and rolled to enjoy with a delicious scoop of ice cream.

Waffle croissant - application

Pick out your favorite recipe for cornets. Ready-baked waffles should still be a little soft, so that you can easily roll them, and only after a few seconds to solidify. Therefore, recipes that produce a dough that already hardens during baking are not suitable. You can refine and color the dough according to your own taste with cocoa nibs, freeze-dried fruits, flavors or gel colors. At our ice cream and sorbet course, you will learn a recipe for waffles that is sure to succeed and you can also practice using the waffle iron and the waffle cone.

Now preheat your waffle iron to 180 °C. Put one tablespoon of batter at a time on the waffle iron and close it for 2 minutes. Depending on the batter, this may take a little longer or shorter. Then take the waffle croissant to hand. Place it directly on the waffle and roll it as tightly as possible around the cornet roller using a spatula. This is turned along, so that the waffle can be wound up more easily. Now roll the wafer on the cornet a few times over the clean work surface until the cornet hardens. Now you can remove the ice cream cone from the wafer cone and set it aside.

The Glace Cornets can be served immediately or stored completely airtight. If moisture gets to the ice cream wafers, they quickly become soft and soggy. You can also brush the cornet with liquid chocolate and then fill it with freshly made, still soft ice cream or sorbet mixture and put it directly into the freezer. However, if moisture from the freezer or from the ice cream itself gets to the ice cream wafers, they will become soft over time.

The waffle cornet does not require intensive care. After rolling the cornets, you can briefly rinse the cornet former, but it should not be soaked in water or cleaned in the dishwasher. This would cause it to become waterlogged and brittle over time. With the right treatment, however, you can roll thousands of ice cream cones with the cornet without any problems.
