Cake Recipes Convert

How do I convert my cake or pie recipe correctly?

Depending on the situation, you may want to convert your own cake recipe to a different size or shape. This may be because you want to make a larger or smaller birthday cake or a large wedding cake for a wedding. It may also be that you have a cake recipe for a round cake and now want to make a square one, or that the recipe assumes 6 cm as the height of the cake, but you want 10 cm as the new height. For all these situations, we have created the interactive cake recipe calculator, which couldn't be easier to use.

We all know how tedious it can be to convert cake recipes, and in the end a small error has crept in, forcing you to start again. The interactive cake recipe calculator is really easy and you will receive the calculated recipe as an e-mail at the end.

Have fun and enjoy baking!

If the calculator below does not load immediately, give the server some time to load the calculator and if this is still not the case after 1 minute, please reload the page, thank you.

Convert recipes using the factor table

If you want to make a larger or a smaller cake than is indicated in the recipe, you can easily multiply the quantities in the list of ingredients (e.g. a sponge cake recipe or a cake filling) by the respective value in the columns of the conversion table. Of course, this only applies if the height of the cake is to remain the same! In addition, the shape must also be identical, so it is not possible to convert from square to round cakes, nor from round to square cakes.

How can I increase the size of a cake recipe?

Example green field: If the recipe is designed for a 20 cm cake ring and now you want to use a 26 cm cake ring, multiply all ingredients by the value 1.69.

How can I reduce the size of a cake recipe?

Example blue field: If the recipe is designed for a 26 cm cake ring and now you want to use a 20 cm cake ring, multiply all ingredients by the value 0.59.
