Baker brush natural

The paintbrush is not only associated with paint. The brush is also often used in pastry and bakery. Instead of paint, this brush is used with water, eggs, milk or oil. This brush is 35 mm wide. The bristles are made of fine natural hair and the handle is made of wood. The brush must not be cleaned in the dishwasher.

Baker brushes for various applications

The brush is suitable for a wide variety of applications. On the one hand, baking pans can be easily applied and greased with a little butter or oil with the brush. Previous greasing with a paper kitchen towel has of course also worked, but the fine kitchen towel absorbs too much butter and oil. So you have more butter or oil in your cloth instead of in the mold. With the brush, all surfaces and corners can be greased evenly and nothing is guaranteed to stick to the surface. Some pastries need to be brushed with a mixture of egg yolk and milk or water. This gives the pastry a nice, shiny surface. The classic example of this is Mailänderli. Many types of cakes are covered with a glaze. For example, the lemon cake with a sugar glaze or a marble cake with a chocolate glaze. Various Cake and cake glazes you will find in our online store. The brush helps you to apply and distribute the glaze nicely and evenly. Breads should also be brushed with water shortly before baking. This has the advantage that flour patterns or grains stick better to the bread and that the crust becomes nice and crispy. Again the yeast plait is brushed with egg and milk. So the yeast plait gets its great surface.

Cooks also know the advantages of a pastry brush. So you can brush a piece of meat with marinade and massage well into the meat. Nowadays, you can also often see the brush when arranging a plate. So you can brush with various savory or sweet sauces over the plate, let it dry briefly and then arrange on it. For example, you can brush a chocolate strip under a fruity tartlet or a light rosemary sauce under a beef tenderloin. In principle, smaller brushes are suitable for small pastries and are best placed in the corners of a baking dish. Again, larger models are suitable for spreading fat over a wide area in the baking pan and for cake glazes.

Advantages of natural pastry brush

The pastry brush is made of wood, metal and natural bristles. The natural bristles are particularly absorbent. The bristles are very fine and thin and can thus absorb a lot of liquid between the bristles. So you can spread a lot of liquid even with a small brush. The wood feels comfortable and light in the hand. The length is perfect for glazing small pastries as well as brushing large areas. However, you should not put this brush in the dishwasher. On the one hand, because the wood is not lacquered and thus the water could pull into the wood and start to mold. On the other hand, the wooden handle could also split from too much water. The bristles are very fine, so cleaning them in the dishwasher can reduce the life of the brush. The bristles should be rinsed out immediately after use to prevent them from sticking together.
