Ice cream scoop

Did you know that a person eats an average of almost 8 liters of ice cream per year? The most popular type of ice cream is? That's right: chocolate ice cream! Of course, we are very happy about that, because we also love a cold chocolate ice cream in summer. You've probably already had a delicious glacé with your Glacé machine made and put in the freezer. Now only missing the nibbling together with the whole family! Unfortunately, you can not optimally portion the ice cream with a conventional spoon. The ball does not look nice and constantly slips on the thin spoon stem. The ice cream scoop helps you to portion your homemade ice cream into perfect scoops with little effort. This ice cream or sorbet scoop is perfect for both right and left handed users. The stainless steel scoop is food safe, rustproof.

Not all ice cream scoopers are the same

Ice cream scoop portioners are divided into the pincer portioner, the lever portioner and the ice cream dipper, also classically called ice cream scoop. This model is a classic ice cream dipper. Classically, Italian gelato prefers to be scooped onto the wafer with a scraper. Some Italians say: don't trust an Italian ice cream parlor with an ice cream scoop. Nevertheless, the ice cream scoop is also popular in ice cream parlors because you can get even, beautiful scoops. The eye eats with you!

The ice cream dipper is characterized by its rounded, simple handle. It is the simplest of the three spoons, but very robust. It has neither screws nor springs that could cause the portioner to break. Therefore, the ice cream scoop can also be given to children. After use, the ice cream spoon can be briefly rinsed with water and dried.

How to make perfectly portioned ice cream scoops

Your homemade ice cream must be in the freezer for about 2 hours after completion. So the ice cream becomes nice and firm. The ice cream can become really hard. Therefore, we recommend that you let the ice cream stand at room temperature for 1 minute before portioning it. Take a medium bowl and fill it with warm water. Before using the stainless steel ice cream scoop, rinse the scoop briefly. Dip the ice cream scoop into the warm water next to the ice cream. The warm water makes it easier to remove the scoop from the spoon. To portion out really nice scoops, place the spoon on the edge of the ice cream container. Then you dig a little into the ice cream mass and pull the ice cream scoop towards you. The curvature in the spoon will cause the ice cream mixture to curl into the inside of the scoop, forming a nice spherical shape. Lift the ice cream over to the bowl and turn the spoon upside down. The warm water will cause the ball to plop right out of the spoon and land nicely in your bowl. Before you start the second ball, you should dip the ice cream scoop into the warm water again.

A portioner that can be intended for more than just ice cream

The ice cream scoop can also be used to portion other masses. A herb butter ball looks especially great next to the grilled food. You can also portion mousses for appetizers, main courses or desserts and simply release them from the spoon. Of course, the portioner can also be used for meatballs or meatballs. With the portioner you can portion the minced meat exactly. This is important so that later when frying the balls can all be fried evenly. You can also make fruit salad more beautiful with the portioner. The tong portioner can be used to hollow out melons, kiwi or other fruits into balls. The possibilities are incredibly varied. Whether it's frozen homemade ice cream, mousses or savory dishes, this portioner will help portion out the dishes. This will make the arrangement on your plate a little more perfect.
