Danish dough whisk
If you want to knead a bread dough by hand, stir a cake batter or mix honey evenly with homemade granola, this dough whisk is perfect. Due to its unusual shape, it ensures the optimal distribution of liquids, pieces such as chocolate or dried fruit, as well as flour. Due to the small surface, the dough does not stick and the wire can be easily cleaned again. With the Danish dough whisk you mix liquid and soft doughs.
Danish dough whisk - Application
The dough whisk was developed according to Danish design, it has only a small surface, through the wire loops, which are arranged in three levels behind each other, it ensures optimal distribution of all ingredients. The long handle facilitates stirring as well as the sturdy wire, which easily cuts through somewhat firmer dough.
With the Danish dough whisk you can, for example, very soft pancake or omelet dough, somewhat firmer Knöpfli or cake dough, Guetzli and shortbread dough or even bread dough mix optimally. It is also perfect for mixing in pieces of chocolate, dried fruit, nuts or other pieces, and no lumps are formed. For bread dough, it is mainly used for softer doughs such as poolish, scalded dough pieces or sourdough. However, it is also particularly practical for the initial mixing of flour and water from a normal, firm bread dough.
To do this, mix the flour with the dry ingredients, then pour the liquid, whether milk or water, into the center. Instead of mixing by hand or with a spoon, use a whisk. With this, no dough will stick to your fingers and there will be no flour inclusions. These are opened by the three wire loops and the contained flour is evenly kneaded into the dough. Once the liquid has been absorbed by the flour, you can remove the whisk, free the loops from small dough residues if necessary and then continue kneading by hand.
Strange as it may look, the Danish Dough Whisk is an ingenious helper for the kitchen and versatile. So you ensure perfectly mixed and not overkneaded dough. The wire loops are very easy to clean by hand with a little detergent.
