Rye sourdough powder 500 g
With this dried rye sourdough you give your bread the typical taste of a sourdough bread. The powder is not a substitute for a living sourdough or yeast, it does not provide alone for the rising of the bread. However, as an addition to a dough with yeast or sourdough, it gives the bread the typical flavor, a loose porosity, a toasty crust as well as a prolonged freshness.

Rye sourdough powder 500 g
The powdered rye sourdough can simply be added to a normal bread dough with yeast or sourdough. In this way, you can bake breads at any time that taste wonderfully aromatic and sour and stay fresh for a long time, even without fresh starter. The powder is not a leavening agent in its own right, yeast or a living sourdough are still necessary, but it ensures a good taste, a soft interior and a crispy crust.
Rye sourdough powder - application
The rye sourdough powder is mixed with the flour right at the beginning. Together with the remaining ingredients, it is then kneaded into a smooth dough. The dried rye sourdough is suitable for all kinds of pastries, especially delicious are, for example, baguettes, which should have the typical sourdough flavor with a particularly airy interior, because sourdough baguettes with a loose pore are a great challenge without this delicious powder. The additional crispiness that the powder gives the bread is particularly popular, for example, with small rolls, pretzels or ciabatta.
Prepare your favorite bread dough according to your own taste and add some rye sourdough powder. On 1 kg of flour add about 20-30 g of sourdough powder according to taste. The processing and fermentation time of the dough remains exactly the same. The baking time can also be kept normal.
After baking, the bread should still cool briefly, but then you can look forward to a particularly delicious bread. Through the motive power of the yeast, the bread has risen beautifully, you get the wonderful sourdough flavor from the powder. So you do not need your own sourdough, which must be fed every week to still bake crispy and delicious sourdough breads
