When decorating cakes, the constant interruptions caused by the tedious turning of the cake can be annoying. With a rotating cake plate, you have your cake perfectly under control. The plate and base are made of food-safe plastic. This makes it easy to turn and decorate cakes. A tool that belongs in every kitchen.
Make a sponge cake and fillings according to your wishes. Through the use of a Cake rings and a suitable Cake insert strip the later covering of the cake is greatly simplified. To do this, hold the horn in one hand and turn the cake plate with the other. If you prefer to work with your right hand, turn the plate anticlockwise. Left-handers turn the plate clockwise. The steadier you hold your hand, the more even the result will be. Smooth the cake until the perfect result is achieved. The edge of the utensils should now rest against the side of the cake. Hold the utensils as straight as possible and gently turn the rotating cake plate without moving the other hand. Vary the pressure until you have a nice, smooth edge. Any excess mixture that remains on the tool can be scraped off the edge of a bowl.
The top part of the cake is made in a similar way. Hold the spatula horizontally and turn the cake underneath. Keep scraping off the excess mixture. Repeat this until every edge is perfect.
Now you can decorate the cake further. Here, too, the easily rotatable cake plate allows you to quickly change the angle of view. This makes decorating the cake even quicker and easier! For cakes that are to be covered with buttercream or similar, we recommend using the Velvet Spray. The best way to do this is to freeze the cake overnight and spray it with the Velvet Spray the next day. To do this, place the cake back on the rotating cake plate. Place the cake plate in a large cardboard box. The cardboard is used to ensure that you can work as cleanly as possible. Now shake the spray and start spraying the cake with the mixture from a distance of 20 - 30 cm. Turn the cake plate evenly in one direction. This creates an even, velvety layer. The cake can then be defrosted in the fridge and finished decorating.
