The cookie cutter set includes a total of 40 pretty leaf shapes in different sizes and shapes. The cookie cutter set is especially suitable to decorate cakes, cupcakes or cake pops with whole flower bouquets or flower arrangements. You can shape sweet maple leaves, ivy, hibiscus leaves, etc. out of fondant, Massa Ticino, flower paste or marzipan and attach them as pretty decorations to your homemade masterpieces. For an impressive yet simple cake decoration, our cookie cutters are the appropriate tool.

Cookie cutter - Application

Choose a mass from which you want to cut out the leaves afterwards. You can use marzipan or flower paste, fondant, Massa Ticino and modeling chocolate are also suitable. Depending on the mass, use a different base. For sugar masses, a little baker's starch will keep them from sticking to the work surface. A silicone mat is also a good choice.

Now roll out the mass thinly. It should not be too thick, otherwise the leaves will look too coarse, but if they are too thin, they could tear later. If you are satisfied with the thickness, you can cut out the leaves with light pressure. Now put the cut out leaves on a baking paper, place them immediately gently on your cake or a cupcake or tie them into a little branch with the help of a floral wire.

The individual leaves can also be further decorated. With an airbrush, noble color gradients are created. You can achieve fine leaf veins with a silicone embosser or a modeling tool. This makes the leaves look more real. You can also put a small dab of egg white icing on a leaf and glue a butterfly made of edible paper or fondant on top.

With these 40 leaf cutters you are guaranteed to find the right one for your creation. In a bouquet of flowers, as a small branch or next to a single flower, the leaves are versatile and allow you to create the most diverse creations.

The cookie cutters are ideally used for cutting out sweet decorations from thin flower paste or marzipan. In addition, you can trace the decorations with food coloring or egg white icing. For example, you can incorporate different shades of green into a leaf or create leaves with autumnal tones and beautiful color overlays.

To use the cutter correctly, first roll out the sugar mass, rolled fondant, marzipan or flower paste thinly. A silicone mat or baker's starch is suitable as a base to prevent the mass from sticking to the work surface. Then press the cutter onto the mass and apply light pressure, as when cutting out cookies. For an especially beautiful result, finish with modeling tools. Et voilà: Your handmade cake decoration! So you are guaranteed to succeed a magical motif cake.
