Recipe hibiscus blossom iced tea

How about a delicious and homemade hibiscus iced tea? We have the perfect recipe for you!

You need the following ingredients:

500 g water (part 1
)20 g Ceylon black tea250
g water (part 2)
15 g hibiscus flowers75
g honey250 g
cane sugar

Here's how:

1. bring the water (part 1) to a boil in a large pot.
When the water boils, you can turn off the heat, add the Ceylon black tea and let it steep for 5 minutes, covered. For a more intense black tea flavor, you can let the tea steep longer, the longer, the more bitter it will be.
3. After the 5 minutes, pour the tea through a strainer into a large tea pot.

4. boil the second part of the water in a pot. As soon as the water boils, turn off the heat and add the hibiscus flowers. 5.
Leave the whole thing to stand for 5-10 minutes. 6.
6. pour this tea through a sieve and add it to the black tea.
7. mix honey and cane sugar in a bowl and add the still hot tea mixture and stir.
8. if the tea is not hot enough to melt the sugar crystals, you can heat it up again until the sugar has dissolved.

Pour the tea again through a fine sieve into a bottle and put it in a cool place.
10. now you have made an intense tasting tea syrup.

For a delicious iced tea you need to pour 1-2 cm of the syrup in a glass and then fill it up with cold water and ice cubes. The syrup is enough for about 20-30 servings. The syrup can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks!
