With ice cream scoop portioners, a distinction is made between the tong portioner, the lever portioner and the ice cream dipper, also known as the classic ice cream scoop. This model is a classic tong scoop. Italian gelato is traditionally scooped onto the cone with a scraper. Some Italians say: Don't trust an Italian ice cream parlor with an ice cream scoop. Nevertheless, the ice cream scoop is also popular in ice cream parlors, as it produces even, beautiful scoops. You eat with your eyes!
The tong portioner is characterized by its tong-shaped handle. The handle of the portioner is fitted with a spring. There is a mini scraper inside the spoon. This ensures that the ice cream is scraped out of the spoon. This is done by the scraper moving along the inside wall of the spoon as soon as you squeeze the handle. This allows you to remove the scoop of ice cream perfectly from the spoon. This ice cream scoop is also equipped with a soft grip. The grip provides a better hold and prevents slipping on the spoon handle. The wide handle is very helpful as the scoop cannot roll away when you put it down, unlike conventional ice cream scoops. The tong scoop is the most popular and therefore the most widely used ice cream scoop.
Once ready, your homemade ice cream should be placed in the freezer for about 2 hours. This makes the ice cream nice and firm. The ice cream can become really hard. We therefore recommend that you leave the ice cream mixture to stand at room temperature for 1 minute before portioning it. Take a medium bowl and fill it with warm water. Before using the stainless steel ice cream scoop, you should briefly rinse the tongs scoop. Dip the ice cream scoop into the warm water next to the ice cream. The warm water ensures that the scoop is easier to release from the spoon. To portion really nice scoops, place the spoon on the edge of the ice cream container. Then dig a little into the ice cream mixture and pull the ice cream scoop towards you. The curvature of the spoon causes the ice cream to curl inside the scoop and form a nice spherical shape. Lift the ice cream over to the bowl and turn the spoon over. If the scoop has not already fallen out, squeeze the handle. By now at the latest, the scoop should have landed perfectly in your ice cream bowl. Before you start the second scoop, you should dip the tong scoop back into the warm water.
The ice cream scoop can also be used to portion other batters. A ball of herb butter looks particularly good next to grilled food. You can also portion mousses for starters, main courses or desserts and simply remove them from the spoon. The portioner can of course also be used for meatballs or meatballs. The portioner allows you to portion the minced meat precisely. This is important so that the meatballs can all be fried evenly later on. You can also use the portioner to make fruit salad more attractive. The tongs portioner can be used to hollow out melons, kiwis or other fruit into balls. The possibilities are incredibly varied. Whether it's frozen homemade ice cream, mousses or savory dishes, this portioner helps with portioning dishes. This will make the presentation on your plate even more perfect.
