Fondant smoother
The fondant smoother is the perfect tool to cover your cake with fondant and smooth. The smoother prevents air bubbles and conjures up beautiful and clean surfaces and edges. This little helper should not be missing in any cake studio.
Application and properties
The tool is made of sturdy and food-safe plastic. It is 15 cm long and 8.5 cm wide. Thanks to the handle, you can hold the smoother well in your hand and smooth your cake.
To cover your cake with fondant, the cake must have a smooth and fondant-suitable base. It is best to use a ganache, spread it on the cake and let it cool down. After the cooling time you can roll out the fondant. Take some baker's starch so that the fondant does not stick. Spray your cake with some baking spray and lay the fondant over the cake and smooth it first with your hands and then with the fondant smoother.
Cleaning
The trowel should be rinsed immediately after use. It can also be put in the dishwasher and is thus quickly ready for use again.
