Everyone knows it: Visitors come over for dinner and you don't want to make a big effort, but the food should still taste good and take your breath away. Here we present you various applications that are waiting to be tried out by you.

Frozen sweet or savory

Cold or frozen masses are particularly suitable for silicone molds. To ensure that the mass takes on the shape, you can simply fill the finished mousse, ice cream or sorbet mass into the cavities with a piping bag and distribute it in the silicone mold by pulling and pressing. The excess mass can then be removed with a spatula and poured into the next mold. When you have filled each cavity, place the mold in the freezer and let the treats freeze for at least 4 hours. Preferably even overnight. Once the desserts are frozen, you can decorate the designs a bit. With frozen delicacies the Velvet spray on. This gets its beautiful velvet effect by freezing. You can use on Cake shine use. Simply prick a toothpick into the motif, dip your delicious pieces into the cake shine and leave the whole thing to stand for a while. With the velvet spray and also with the cake shine, it is important that your masses are frozen. Ice cream, ice cream and sorbet can be served right away. A mousse or patisserie can be thawed slowly in the refrigerator. A fruit mousse is particularly suitable for this form. Creativity is called for with this form: For an appetizer, for example, you can make savory eggplant mousse, freeze it in the mold and serve it with fresh breakfast rolls. Various creams can also be frozen and served with main dishes. How about a homemade herb butter to go with grilled food? With silicone, anything is possible!

Baked sweet or savory

Silicone is also suitable for baking. Thus, sweet or even savory motifs can be created by baking. A cake pop dough is very well suited for this. You can make the cake pop dough classically sweet, with fruit or chocolate pieces, or savory. For the savory version, a cheese and ham cake pop dough is ideal. Fill the dough into the cavities and bake at 180 degrees for 10-15 minutes. You can also color the dough with the progel colors to give the motif a great effect. Be creative and try yourself.

Chocolate decorations

Silicone is not the classic material for chocolate, although silicone can still be used for small decorations. So you can put tempered chocolate coating in the wells and put the mold in the refrigerator for 10 - 15 minutes. You can brush these chocolate pieces with a gloss. The chocolate motifs are perfect to decorate your desserts, cakes or noble patisserie. Alternatively, you can also make a slightly firmer ganache with couverture, but then you need to refreeze the mold so that you can easily remove the rather creamy mass from the mold.

What do I need to consider when cleaning and caring for silicone molds

Before use, you should place your silicone mold in a warm water bath with some dishwashing liquid. This is not necessary, but it contributes to the longevity of your silicone mold. The warm water with detergent closes the pores of the silicone surface better. Thus, the material remains flexible for a long time and you can enjoy the baking silicone molds longer. After the silicone mold has been in the water bath for 5-10 minutes, you can now place the mold on a kitchen towel to drain. Do not try to rub the baking mold dry with the kitchen towel. Silicone is a very good lint catcher. So, if you dry the baking pan with the kitchen towel, your silicone mold may become covered with lint. Once the mold is dry, you can use the mold right away. Additional greasing is not necessary.
After you have baked delicious cakes or frozen ice cream, you can simply put the silicone mold in the dishwasher. Many baking molds are usually not allowed to be put in the dishwasher, because the anti-adhesive coating could be washed off by the suds. This is not the case with silicone. Depending on how often you use the silicone mold, we recommend that you outgas your silicone mold 1-2 times a year. To do this, place the silicone mold in the middle of your oven at 200 degrees top/bottom heat for 4 hours. The heat causes certain substances in the silicone baking mold to volatilize. Occasionally, a white layer or white dots may form on the silicone mold. This is especially common if you have not used the silicone mold for a long time. To do this, simply place the mold in the water bath with dishwashing detergent. Then the grease film will dissolve from the silicone mold. Due to the flexibility of the material, you can fold silicone molds and store them in a space-saving way. Don't worry. The silicone mold will always find its way back to its original shape, even after folding or bending. Say goodbye to bulky metal baking molds!

Silicone molds are the all-rounders in your kitchen

Baking silicone molds are durable, break-resistant and inexpensive. 3D silicone molds are perfect alternatives to classic metal baking molds. The most popular baking molds are usually made of aluminum or sheet metal, which are bulky. Especially in smaller kitchens, metal baking pans take up a lot of space. Most metal baking pans must not be put in the dishwasher, otherwise the anti-stick coating can be washed off. With silicone baking molds, such problems are a thing of the past. Silicone baking molds are cold and heat resistant from -40 to 250 degrees. So silicone baking molds can be frozen, baked and cleaned in the dishwasher. There are a wide variety of small silicone molds, as well as large baking silicone molds. You can make cake layers, donuts, muffins or cake pops, but also ice cubes, confectionery, mousse or glacé. Attention: even if the silicone mold seems perfect, silicone still gets hot in the oven. Therefore always Oven gloves and let the silicone mold cool down well. In contrast to metal baking molds, silicone molds cool down faster. This saves you time and you can process your production faster. Compared to rubber, silicone is inexpensive and resistant to chemicals and fungi. This makes silicone a very hygienic kitchen aid. Thanks to the surface, all masses can be loosened or toppled by bending and pulling the mold. While silicone is shatter and break resistant, it is not resistant to knives or other sharp objects. Therefore, use only plastic or silicone cutlery for this silicone mold.
