Marzipan red
Marzipan can be used to form pretty little figures or flowers that not only look sweet but also taste deliciously of almonds. Even cakes can be covered with marzipan instead of rolled fondant, so the ceiling is not just sweet, but also contributes to the taste experience.

Marzipan red
Marzipan consists mainly of almonds and sugar, so it is a real little treat. Unlike rolled fondant or flower paste, it actively contributes to the enjoyment of a cake decorated with it due to its almond aroma and is thus eaten with pleasure. For those with a sweet tooth, marzipan can also be shaped and enjoyed pure. This is how you create noble and delicious decorations.
Marzipan - application
You can use marzipan to coat entire cakes; the Swedish cake, for example, with its typically green dome, is particularly well-known. To do this, make a Swedish cake from light sponge cake and fluffy vanilla cream and refrigerate it. Then roll out the marzipan on some baker's starch or powdered sugar to a thickness of about 4 to 7 mm. For a dome with a diameter of 14 cm, 250 g of marzipan is well enough. Then cover the cake with the marzipan, cut off the rest, knead it again and either use it for decoration or pack it in an airtight container. Since the marzipan is somewhat sticky, it adheres well to the cake and further decorations will not fall off again. If you would like to learn how to make the perfect Swedish cake, we would be very happy to have you attend the basic cake course 1, where you will create and decorate a classic Swedish cake.
Marzipan can be shaped into figurines, flowers or fruits to decorate cakes or as a noble treat. Known are, for example, various small marzipan animals, marzipan potatoes, which are refined with cocoa powder or the classic marzipan fruits. Let your creativity run wild and form great little treats!
The high-quality marzipan can also be used for delicious pastries or delicate pralines. Try, for example, a marzipan cut praline with chocolate ganache and a thin couverture coating or a juicy fruit and almond cake. Your loved ones will be raving about these treats for a long time to come!
