Tips from our kitchen

• Construction cake: crumbled chocolate biscuits on top of the cake look like soil – perfect ground for the digger.
• A biscuit train: use the train set to cut out the engine and carriages and lay them across the table as one long train.
• Wheels last: stick on chocolate buttons or sugar pearls as wheels after baking with a little icing.

A matching idea from our blog: railway biscuits with raspberry jam.
