Beautiful and delicious decorations are costly? - Not anymore!

A fine meal is already cooked, but something is missing. No more desire for edible flowers or the aceto balsamico rim? We show you how you can easily create beautiful, edible decorations. Everything you need for this, you usually already have at home anyway. Besides the silicone mold you need the following:
100g egg white
50g butter
80g flour
lemon zest (to taste)
5-10g beet powder (replaces 5g flour)

ProGel food coloring (Add dab wisely)

Here's how:
Preheat the oven to 150 degrees for convection or 170 degrees for top/bottom heat. The butter should be at room temperature. First, mix all the ingredients until you get a creamy, liquid consistency. The mixture should be easy to spread. Now you fill the mass into the silicone mold and pull off the excess mass with an angled spatula until the motifs are filled. Now you can put the Hüppen in the oven and bake them for 5-7 minutes. Even if it is difficult, let the motifs cool down well before you take them out of the mold. This will prevent the motifs from breaking. If you want to deform the motifs, you can of course carefully remove them from the mold and place them in a baguette tray or bowl, for example. The motifs need at least one hour to dry so that they take on their shape. Preferably even overnight, so that the motifs are sure to stand bombproof. These motifs are guaranteed to be an eye-catcher on your delicious meal.

Also suitable as a sweet variant.

Whether on ice cream, mousse cupcakes or on the cake. These motifs can also be baked as a sweet variant. For this you need:
100g egg white
50g butter
80g flour
50g sugar
5g cocoa powder, or 5-10g fruit powder (replaces 5g flour)
ProGel food coloring (dab wise add)

The preparation is identical to the savory version.

Soups, salads, main dishes and desserts look even more delicious with these decorative elements. Try it out!

What do I need to consider when cleaning and caring for silicone molds

Before use, you should place your silicone mold in a warm water bath with some dishwashing liquid. This is not necessary, but it contributes to the longevity of your silicone mold. The warm water with detergent closes the pores of the silicone surface better. Thus, the material remains flexible for a long time and you can enjoy the baking silicone molds longer. After the silicone mold has been in the water bath for 5-10 minutes, you can now place the mold on a kitchen towel to drain. Do not try to rub the baking mold dry with the kitchen towel. Silicone is a very good lint catcher. So it may happen that your silicone mold gets covered with lint when you dry the baking mold with the kitchen towel. Once the mold is dry, you can use the mold right away. Additional greasing is not necessary.
After you have baked delicious cakes or frozen ice cream, you can simply put the silicone mold in the dishwasher. Many baking molds are usually not allowed to be put in the dishwasher, because the anti-adhesive coating could be washed off by the suds. This is not the case with silicone. Depending on how often you use the silicone mold, we recommend that you outgas your silicone mold 1-2 times a year. To do this, place the silicone mold in the middle of your oven at 200 degrees top/bottom heat for 4 hours. The heat causes certain substances in the silicone baking mold to volatilize. From time to time, a white layer or white dots may form on the silicone mold. This is especially common if you have not used the silicone mold for a long time. Simply place the mold in a water bath with dishwashing detergent. Then the grease film will dissolve from the silicone mold. Due to the flexibility of the material, you can fold silicone molds and store them in a space-saving way. Don't worry. The silicone mold will always find its way back to its original shape, even after folding or bending. Say goodbye to bulky metal baking molds!

Silicone molds are the all-rounders in your kitchen

Baking silicone molds are durable, break-resistant and inexpensive. 3D silicone molds are perfect alternatives to classic metal baking molds. The most popular baking molds are usually made of aluminum or sheet metal, which are bulky. Especially in smaller kitchens, metal baking pans take up a lot of space. Most metal baking pans must not be put in the dishwasher, because otherwise the anti-adhesive coating can be washed off. With silicone baking pans, such problems are a thing of the past. Silicone baking molds are cold and heat resistant from -40 to 250 degrees. So silicone baking molds can be frozen, baked and cleaned in the dishwasher. There are various small silicone molds, but also large baking silicone molds. You can make cake layers, donuts, muffins or cake pops, but also ice cubes, confectionery, mousse or glacé. Attention: even if the silicone mold seems perfect, silicone still gets hot in the oven. Therefore always Oven gloves and let the silicone mold cool down well. In contrast to metal baking molds, silicone molds cool down faster. This saves you time and you can process your production faster. Compared to rubber, silicone is inexpensive and resistant to chemicals and fungi. This makes silicone a very hygienic kitchen aid. Thanks to the surface, all masses can be loosened or toppled by bending and pulling the mold. While silicone is shatter and break resistant, it is not resistant to knives or other sharp objects. Therefore, use only plastic or silicone cutlery for this silicone mold.
