You are a huge ice cream fan and now you want to tackle the production of the refreshing sweet? Then you can't do without the syrup density meter. The density of the sugar syrup used is essential for the final result. For the perfect ice cream, the sugar syrup used must have the ideal density. And it is exactly this ideal density that you can determine with the help of the syrup density meter. The hydrometer is made of glass and is surrounded by a PVC cover with the official Baumé density scales.

Description

The syrup density meter determines the relative density of the syrup via the buoyancy which is generated. This principle is also called Archimedes' principle. Those who are familiar with the laws and principles of physics know that a body sinks in a liquid until the weight of the displaced liquid equals the weight of the immersed body. And it is exactly according to this principle that the syrup density meter determines the density of the sugar syrup. The smaller the density of a liquid, the further the body is immersed.

To make the whole process a little easier, we recommend that you use a stainless steel stand cup to measure the density. To do this, pour the liquid to be measured into the standing beaker and then measure the density of the sugar syrup with the hydrometer.

In our new Ice cream course you will learn the correct use of the syrup density knife as well as how to make the ice cream.
