Using a cake topper well

Put the topper on the cake just before serving, especially with soft buttercream or cream. Stand heavy play figures on a firm surface, for example a fondant base or a small board, so they do not sink in. For numbers and lettering with a stick, a small test shows whether the cake gives enough hold. The plastic wires for cake decorations help to place elements higher up.

Play figures are not edible decorations. Take them off before cutting the cake and make sure small children do not put them in their mouths.

Cupcake toppers and accessories
