Our insect cookie cutters bring spring and summer to the biscuit plate: butterflies, ladybirds, beetles, a bee, a dragonfly and a snail. The shapes are perfect for children's birthdays, garden parties and all kinds of spring biscuits. Order by 4 pm and your parcel leaves Adliswil the same day.

Which insect cookie cutters do we stock?

  • Butterflies: the classic butterfly cookie cutter, a 3-piece butterfly set and a butterfly plunger cutter.
  • Butterfly and tulip: as a 2-piece set and from Wilton – handy when you want flowers and butterflies on the same tray.
  • Ladybirds and beetles: the 3-piece ladybird set, the 5-piece beetle cutter and the 2-piece ladybird and bee set.
  • Dragonfly and snail: a 2-piece set for everything that flies and crawls in the garden.

Tips from our kitchen

Wings and antennae are narrow, so don't roll the dough too thin, chill it well and lift the biscuits onto the tray with a palette knife. With the butterfly plunger cutter the plunger pushes the dough out cleanly – you will find more models among our plunger cookie cutters. Pipe the ladybird's spots and the bee's stripes with royal icing in two colours once the biscuits have cooled.

Fancy ladybirds made of chocolate rather than dough? Our recipe for chocolate ladybirds shows you how.

Frequently asked questions

Which cutters go well with butterflies?

Flowers and leaves. You will find more blossoms among our flower cookie cutters and all other animals under animal cookie cutters.

How do the wings stay in one piece?

Use cold dough, dip the cutter in flour before each cut and chill the cut-out biscuits again before baking. That way they keep their shape.

Do you offer baking courses for children?

Yes, have a look at our children's courses in Adliswil, where you will always find the current dates.
