Pasta Event – Making pasta together
At our pasta event, we’ll be making two different types of pasta dough together. To get everyone in the right mood, we’ll start the class with a glass of Prosecco. After that, we’ll get straight down to making the dough.
We’ll start with the classic egg pasta dough. We’ll show you how to make ravioli with a delicate lemon and ricotta filling or a spinach and ricotta filling. The remaining dough will be used to make fettuccine.
Next, our course leader will show you how to make Gnocchi sardi and Spaghetti alla Chittara from a durum wheat dough. This dough can also be coloured with beetroot or spinach powder. These powders give the pasta a lovely colour and a delicate flavour.

After the presentation, all participants can make their own pasta. At the end, the different types of pasta will be cooked and served with a variety of sauces that we will provide. There are five different sauces to choose from: Pesto Genovese, Bolognese sauce, Pesto Calabrese, Sicilian pesto and, to accompany the filled ravioli, sage butter.
Please note that our pasta event focuses on making the different types of pasta, rather than on making the various sauces. Due to time constraints, we will have prepared the sauces in advance of the event.
To accompany the freshly made pasta, we’ll be serving a green salad, pizza rolls and, of course, water and two glasses of red wine per person. After the meal, a little surprise dessert awaits participants, which can be enjoyed at their leisure with a coffee or a cup of tea.
The event lasts around five hours. Of this, the pasta-making takes approximately 3.5–4 hours, and the rest of the time is spent relaxing together whilst enjoying the homemade pasta and dessert. At the end of the event, all participants will receive a detailed recipe booklet containing the various recipes for the doughs and the accompanying sauces.
